Null + Void Where I Wait Remixes Pt. 1 - The Hacker

One of the undoubted highlights of the Null + Void (@nullandvoidmusic) long player ‘Cryosleep’ is the collaboration with Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan.

Null + Void is the project of Kurt Uenala, the Swiss born producer and multi-instrumentalist who has a long history of working with synth legends, and ‘Where I Wait’ further enhances that reputation.

Turning over remix duties to The Hacker (@the-hacker) - the French producer delivers a typically dark and driven take on the track. A mid paced groove unfolds with tightly programmed arpeggiated synths seemingly barely under control. Gahan’s iconic vocals float over the top, creating a powerful, poignant track.

Also included is a The Hacker’s Dub Remix, stripping back the vocals into a few dubbed out snippets and echos, and focussing in on the tough groove, courtesy of the tight drums and thick, propulsive bass.

Ministry - We Believe (Silk Wolf Rework)

The first in a series of DJ edits I'll be making to a select number of classic tracks. First up, Ministry's "You Know What You Are" from the 1988 'Land of Rape and Honey' album.

Not a drastic remix, I just took a page from DJ Hardware's ReVamp series and sped up the tempo a bit, enhanced the beat, and make it overall more club-friendly (maybe teach some of these new kids a thing or two.) I also redid the vox myself, b/c personally I prefer vocals to be intelligible and NOT distorted all to hell (especially Al's). This might be sacrilege to some, I'm sure Al's crazy monster voice makes the track for some people, but hopefully I did a serviceable enough job. NOT a UCNX track (though John & Kurt will help do some I'm sure), just something fun that hopefully you DJs can put to good use.
