The 14 selections of the album, each one titled only with hash marks that designate its place in the order of the playlist, each feature elements that contribute to the construction of a virtual environment - some of the elements to be found are ghostly hovering dissonance, intense hydraulic percussion, and subtle glitches appearing on the periphery of consciousness. In the wrong hands, collecting so many disparate elements in one place could be a recipe for disaster, but Ritchs diverse arrangements here all share a common impression of momentum or resistance to stasis. Stand-alone moments, like the cloudy industrialisms of II and >IIIIIII or IIIIIIIIII ‘s clever mix of running water and cycling deep bass, are enjoyable in and of themselves, but they also contribute to a larger template from which each individual listener can create their own psychic adventure.

Paul Ritch releases a remix EP slated from his debut album on KCZMRK as Kaczmarek 'IIIIIIIIIIIIII'.

As his new Kaczmarek alias, Ritch receives support from another alter-ego: Steve Rachmad's Sterac. The dark, twisting techno edit is a multilayered, progressive piece showcasing both artists' distinct flavors.

The full remix EP is set to release February 12.

The YYYY modus operandi is already familiar to the initiated - expressive, raw techno experimentalism from the outer reaches. 'Carry This Blood' is a collection of 4 moods and sounds, carved out with emotion soaked ambience, synapse flaring distortion and machine fracturing rhythms.

'Repent', as the title suggests, takes no prisoners, leaving no survivors in it's wake, it is a glimpse into a tear in the time-space continuum where chaos rules. 'Hands Towards The Giver' is epic, glacial, spacial widescreen techno. Dramatic and urgent, the soundtrack to a doomed planet collapsing from within.

'Carry This Blood' bestows an eerie, cold feeling. An atmosphere of regret and loss hangs over it like a thick fog on a hillside, punctuated only by a heartbeat mimicking kick drum offering a human touch. 'Of Thrones And Comfort' snaps us out of the haze, the fog clears and we are faced with the frenzied electronics and thundering kick drum of this most sinister of tracks.
