This one was a one-take, but has some tonal issues I'd like to fix. The end was also improv'd a bit so I'd like to clean that up a bit and match the instrumental which gives me a progressively urgent/panicked vibe.

Lately it's occured to me, I may be misinterpreting certain things.
The first would be this sea of words. 
In my thirst I keep drinkin, sinkin further 'til it completely immerses me.
I yearn to reach the surface, breathe.
Surely I can learn to bring these words together perfectly.
Until a verse is created, rehearse and replay it until it hurts to speak.
I like to pretend the mic is a vent, my own confession booth.
I write to admit, I been sober since last night but I might slip again - if I'm pressured to.
The pen is a vessel used to measure and express what the depths of you possess, 
Whether just the booze or sunken treasure buried in your chest.
Now I make -music- my therapy, it's there to keep me from usin' when losin' things I cherish, see -
I'm scared to think of where I'd be if tunes refused to blare for me.
When fumes pollute the air I breathe, I'm quick to turn to substance abuse in pursuit of clarity.
