simple edit for inclusion in DJ sets.  Concentrating on the groove in a house style.  A few  dubbed out guitar licks and the vocal looped and messed about with, similar to an old house house track on Henry St.

Stalwart Italian reworker and producer Frank Virgilio returns for another release on Fingerman's Hot Digits Music label this time bringing some deeper takes on some stone cold disco and balearic classics. 
Heading up the EP with Special 79 we begin slow and sultry before upping the tempo with some breezy vibe on Let's Go. It's Really True ramps up the tension with some tracky peak time house grooves before finishing with Marco's Groove, a chugging disco banger underpinned with some superb walking B-Line action. Fingerman finishes the EP with his own take of Let's Go using the original tracks best elements and running with it.

Wamdue Project -  King Of My Castle (Chuggin Edits)

Corre Riba from Cape Verde gets an excellent acid work out and Sandra Sà is revamped for the modern dance floor by the emerging talent from Greece. Those Guys From Anthens. DJ Laurel's Peanut Man is undoubtedly the smash hit and Lose Your Mind is a psychedelic track from Mexico's Monsieur van Pratt. It's a rare piece from 1975 that can only be described as French afro funk. Up to you where you display it!
All in all, a stand out release from Toulon's dinky double pack specialists. Obscure tracks from yesteryear - our favourite genre.

The Peanut Man

"Light Up The Night" by The Brothers Johnson is another of our favourite Quincy Jones/Rod Temperton collaborations and an absolute party banger. We couldn't resist extending the main groove (which you may have heard on the "Quincy" documentary on Netflix) and beef up the drums and bass ready for our DJ sets. Hope you enjoy!

Jamie Low was born high but then got progressively lower as the years went on. He’s presently so low you can only see his head and neck and then only if you are possessed of the finer quality gardening implements (Spear & Jackson upwards).

As a nipper he discovered acid house while walking his pet lurchers Snowy and Bonzo (acid house was lurking in the bushes waiting to expose itself to winsome young ladies). He was hooked. The lurchers were less keen.

Trips to the Hacienda followed by further investigative forays to the island of Ibiza (turn right at Halifax and keep walking for another 1000 miles). He was bitten by the DJ bug, though fortunately anti-histamines were at hand to cure the poor lad. The doctors confessed that nothing could be done to help him. Like herpes or Dale Winton, it’s one of those things that never really goes away.

Twenty years later finds Jamie still Djing, still obsessively searching for new records and entertaining ne’erdowells in whatever capacity he is able, providing it is more or less legal. It’s all John Peel’s fault. Or was it Jon Da Silva? Anyway, someone called John. We’ve passed his name on to the police. But not his records.
