First mix in a while, throwing in everything from Kate Bush to Carl Craig and Edgar Winter, along with some proper wobbly jazz funk, some newer music from the Idjut Boy's resurrected U-Star label ,reissues of lost classics like J'iraffe's 1988 growler 'Outta The Box', some old school block party hip hop, and ending on Tee Scott's sunshine drenched dub disco excursion 'Tee's Happy' flowing into Mark E's gutbursting edit of Tata Vega's 'Get It Up For Love'.

I am hoping that this mix title is prophetic, in that by the time clubs reopen on our fair isle, our governmental overlords will have deigned to give the peasants a few more hours dancing time and I can play an hour of this sort of music to a suitable amount of tears from the hardcore dancers.... Less talk, more action folks!

Preoccupied and dedicated to the preservation of the motion of hips, we are a bunch of DJ's, producers, promoters and party people who love the funk in all it's forms, from 1940's New Orleans all the way to the deep technoid recesses of 2017...

Since 2011 we've been running a label that specialises in disco/funk edits and the reissue of classic dancefloor material. We've released and reissued music by the likes of Nicky Siano, Daniel Wang, Arthur Russell and DJ Rahaan, and we've also done a couple of turns on the 'Paper Disco' imprint, a new incarnation of the wonderful UK house label Paper Recordings. These releases have garnered support from the likes of Optimo, Horse Meat Disco, Bicep, DJ Sotofett ( Sex Tags Mania), DJ Kaos ( Jollyjams) and many more...

We throw parties that we hope capture the original New York/Chicago spirit - a broad mix of dance music played to open minded, fun loving dancers and messers. Currently Pablo holds a regular residency in Ukiyo in Dublin, as well as floating between a host of other venues in the city, including The Liquor Rooms, where he alternates monthly between Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. 

Over the years we have been closely aligned with Nightflight/Airbound (http://soundcloud.com/nightflightdublin) and Downtownsounds, two crews with similar tastes and spirit. 

2013 saw the launch of our 'Downtownsounds Classics' series, which will feature the big tunes from the long running Dublin clubnight, as well as a best selling EP from Chicago's DJ Rahaan, and there'll be plenty of new music to come from the label in the next few months.....
