The original mix delivers an infectious laid-back groove with a hook that will not let go of your ears. All of which provides the perfect backing for the smooth flow of both Alexander Norman and Dynamite MC. Beatvandals turn in a remix which keeps that infectious hook but adds their impeccable dancefloor credentials. Kenny Beeper takes the tempo down again whilst delivering a huge electronic workout. Finally, there is the instrumental for this just want to groove things out. A huge release.

Joining forces from across the Atlantic, Slug Wife’s brazen co-founder Seppa, their resident battle-waxer Lone Drum, and NYC’s very own Rasp-5 busted through the Scoville scale with their latest single, “Dripper”. 

Pushing bass weight through its paces and fusing low-end ferocity with hip-hop fundamentals, the track is overt, in-your-face, and resoundingly guttural. Rasp-5 stokes the fires of lyricism with sauntered bars and a liquified pattern scheme, while Seppa’s trademarked synthesis slips from out of every downbeat in a boisterous dance between prose and grit. That dance intensifies with Lone Drums audacious scratching, culminating a firestorm of both precision cuts and off-kilter jabs. It’s a staunch tip of the hat to two sounds with far more than common ground between them, curated by our three favorite ne'er-do-wells in the street.

I am Tommy Montana, a Munich based DJ and music producer. I’ve been playing music in nightclubs for almost 15 years with a passion for open format and breaking genres while my sets are rooted in hiphop, soul and all kinds of caribbean sounds. Among lots of venues in and around Germany I’ve been a resident DJ at Munich’s infamous Crux club and part of an open format brand of parties called Yum Yum for the last 10 years. In 2018 I started releasing DJ edits and remixes on Soundcloud, heavily inspired by all the wavy Amsterdam shit that’s become essential to my DJ sets for the last few years. Also I’m happy to be part of the production team behind London based singer Reece Lemonius - we have lots of good tunes lined up to be released in the near future!
