We are delighted to welcome Berna to the Animism podcast series. 

Born and breed in Gran Canaria, Berna has been formulated to seek and care for underground music, building over 15 years its own relevance as one of the key figures in the electronic scene of the Spanish island with residencies at the local Velvet, Rebel and Mood clubs.

Merging a unique flair and methodical ear, Berna’ sophisticated, effective and dynamic sets are deeply marked from timeless house to the very finest of micro, acid and breakbeat. 

As well as an experienced selector, Berna has released colorful remixes for Warm Keys EP and Reverse EP, altogether with his own production, the sensorial and striking eponymous Dipstick EP, combining groovy notes to a deep house imprint.

His friendships in the island and support around the world have brought around him an authentic communit of music lovers. In 2008, he joins Javier Carballo to
create Underyourseat, record label and event agency, proving the worth of bringing international DJs to the island while supporting the local scene with underground music events such as the Soundgardens, MTRC and more.

Since 2017, Berna expands his artistic horizons discovering outer cities like Barcelona, London and Berlin. He has now been living in the UK capital for few years, participating in the local raves and parties.

Berna keeps in the lookout for spine-tingling sounds as well as those flickering, meaningful experiences in the underground scene while he continues building his
trajectory as a DJ and music producer.

Introducing Catalina Biet, an exceptionally talented DJ and producer hailing from Argentina, whose love for jazz, rock and electronic sounds blossomed from an early age. Her musical journey began at the tender age of 11 when she immersed herself in studies at a conservatory in Buenos Aires. Today, she finds her creative sanctuary in Berlin, where she relentlessly explores and evolves her musical abilities, her focus remains on digging records and producing music.

At this very moment, Catalina is embarking on an exciting new project that soon will harmoniously merge the creative energies of Berlin and Buenos Aires. 

Prepare yourself for an exhilarating and mesmerizing unique blend of house, acid, breaks, and techno that is guaranteed to ignite the dance floor. Get ready to be enthralled by her electrifying sounds and to wrap yourself in its energy that promise an incredible experience!

After a bit of a hiatus, following a string of parties in 2023 featuring a Halloween haunt and a Mexico City whopper, our next podcast comes from party honchos Eric Chinchilla and Austin Gambino AKA Chilly & Gams. These two have been swinging the hi hats for around a decade in Brooklyn, with recent international escapades in CDMX and Berlin at the famed Golden Gate.

She prefers digging and selecting old and new music rather than wasting nights parting or the endless scroll on social media. She played music mostly in Berlin at Hoppetosse, CDV and Wilde Renate.

The experienced Canarian DJ and selector, standard bearer of avant-garde electronic music from the fortunate islands, lands with a new installment of our Podcast showing his chill-most, unbothered, easygoing side. 

Revolving between B-sides, among his 20-year-career crates, tracks run along in a 80 to 115 BPMs range where Javier keeps on spilling sound quality through enveloping rhythms, brimming with groove that extend with dreamlike atmospheres and intertwine with syncopated rhythms full of polyrhythms . 

Relayed-runner of the pioneer Titto la Rocka, he has been a fundamental in the dissemination and understanding of  intellectual and forward-thinking underground music scene, not only in Gran Canaria, but throughout the 8 islands. 

Pegatina, his own conceptual event with residency in Barcelona is a must-go, opting for eclectic artists of the highest quality who are not necessarily found in most common clubs or festivals of our scene. Thus asserting, his skill as a connoisseur and booker.

As Look Perry, his aka as a producer, in addition to Terms, label and sub alias in production, has left us with some true gems that have led him to be recognized by artists like Saoirse in her 2023 London's Fabric annual compilation.

Yaroslav Lenzyak, a talented artist from Novaya Kakhovka, Ukraine, embodies the energy of his sun-kissed coastal hometown. His early years were a harmonious journey into the world of music, inspired by the rhythms of life in Novaya Kakhovka. Yaroslav's musical education laid the foundation for his future as a producer, but it was his talent for creating custom ringtones during the mobile phone era that showcased his creativity.
In 2006, he moved to Mykolaiv, where he began his career as a professional DJ. By 2008, Yaroslav had established himself as a creative force in the realm of electronic music.
