The Anomalistico EP is loaded with great synth harmonies a la Giorgio Moroder Style, with a 21st century character, powerful synth grooves and direct to the soul to take you to a state of trance. Or the more acoustic cut based on natural releases of violins and a touch of science fiction where the Spanish title "Oceano con fuera toxinas" is a song to introduce you in a meditative wave about the current situation of our oceans.

Studiodue Future - Mixed by Lorenzo LSP

Italian artists I-Robots and Lorenzo LSP have put together two new mixes inspired by the legendary Turin club Studiodue, at which they were residents back in the 80s. The mixes feature an array of timeless deeptechno and eclectic electronic sounds from I-Robots' Opilec Music label, as well as one of his new and exclusive remixes.  Gianluca Pandullo, aka I-Robots, was a resident at the club - formerly a vintage cinema - from the late 80s until 1993 when it closed forever. At that time, Lorenzo LSP was also a DJ and one of the key party promoters. The club first opened in 1979 and soon became internationally renowned for its club nights, live concerts and events. It had a proudly eclectic sound that took in everything from disco, new wave, rare groove, acid, new beat and house to rock, hip hop, acid jazz, reggae, ska and dub.

The club was a foundational space for many in the city, championing black music and providing a safe space for people from the LGBTQ+ community. As a result, Studiodue became home to many vital promotions such as Lorenzo LSP (Latin Superb Posse)’s PopPlanet, House Train, Double Face and the I-Robots’ Sound Of Blackness Thursday. Over the years, many international stars visited, such as Ice-T, Todd Terry, Paul Weller, Frankie Knuckles,DJ Cash Money, Norman Jay, Pete Heller & Terry Farley, David Morales, Desmond Dekker and many more.

Studiodue helped shape several artists, including Lorenzo LSP and I-Robots, which is why the latter conceived this project and his Opilec Music label to mix up past and present influences and take them into the “Future”. 

The mix from Lorenzo LSP is also dancefloor facing, with Italo melodies lighting up the sleek techno and retro electro. There are peak time passages with chunky drum funk and moments of richly soulful techno, all masterfully mixed and sequenced. Tunes from François K, Schaltkreis Wassermann, No More, Gene Hunt, James Kumo and I-Robots make this a serious selection.

These two mixes are a perfect homage to one of Italy's most vital but sorely missed clubs.

When it comes to high-quality Brazilian Deep House, Curitiba-based Henrique Oliveira aka HNQO is definitely amid the most influential producers of his generation. With solid originals and remixes released on local and international vital imprints of the genre such as Warung, Get Physical Music, Defected, Hot Creations, Off Spin, NastyFunk, Clepsydra, and his very own Playperview, HNQO is now back to the still small but rising German label Hazy Days with the single “Until I’m Done”. 

Something extremely interesting about HD, by the way, is that the platform just releases singles: one artist, one track. A forgotten format nowadays, but still greatly valuable inasmuch as the team can focus exclusively on the promotion of a sole tune. Smart, in our humble opinion.

Right now, 100% of their attention is on HNQO’s “Until I’m Done”, a cosmic-infused cut with a groovy breakbeat, a fat bassline, lush pads, a nervous synth layer, and a notable acid lead. Elements that, together, result in a melodic and upbeat theme devoted to creating a laidback, yet energizing atmosphere. A must-have for the Deep House lovers out there – in our humble opinion.
