Lisbon’s Bruno Cardoso a.k.a Xinobi has made a name for himself on the European scene with his disco infused sound. Innovative electronic trio Cubicolor follow up their introspective ‘Points Beyond’ with second single ‘Wake Me Up’, lifted off their upcoming album, ‘Hardly A Day, Hardly A Night’.

Full of organic instrumentation paired with purpose-built synthesisers, every sound on the album is unique. ‘Wake Me Up’ is no exception, utilising the trio’s unique sound design and Tim Digby-Bell’s siren-like vocals to tell a story about the impermanence of self-identity.

With their previous album ‘Brainsugar’ accumulating over 40M streams and attracting praise from the likes of Mixmag, Spin, and Clash, and a host of heavyweight DJs including Pete Tong, Joris Voorn, and Kölsch, Cubicolor look to build on their reputation with their follow-up LP, out Feb 21st.

Premiered as part of Volume Two of Colorize's 'Colorscapes' compilation, 'Glimmer In The Dark' and 'Illuminant' see the pairing of British producers Trilucid and Esque demonstrate their slick production skill and knack for crafting danceable yet expansive deep house. 

Most impressive on the EP is the stylish sound design; the synths on 'Glimmer In The Dark' multiply onto themselves to create ethereal atmospheres, while on illuminant they are fragmented with precision, with polished percussion and subdued bass giving both tracks a solid foundation.
