Mote-Evolver favourite and Non Series label head Psyk returns to Luke Slater's label alongside fellow returnee Orbe, known for his eponymous techno community, making for a top-tier duo made up of Spanish scene frontmen exploring the deeper end of techno. 'Atonal' is hypnotic, multi-functional, and perfect for the record bags of any artist interested in spinning a journey.

The title track of Psyk & Orbe's 'Atonal' on Luke Slater's Mote-Evolver features clever, ever-progressing arrangements and mechanical rhythm shot through with futuristic bleep. Its dub-like atmospheres are then followed by 'Tunnel Diode', which sees the pair implement raw, wonky soundwaves swirling around delicate drum patterns.

The B-side starts with 'Superconductor', an electrifying trip boasting rapid-fire sequences and reversed drum shots sitting in between its steady beat, before 'Maths' closes the record via a slow-burning groove and mysterious, otherworldly synth textures.

French label .inphase began in 2021 and are a solid outlet for twisted and hypnotic techno having previously featured notable names like Vegim, Viels, Hattori Hanzo and Pyramidal Decode.

The newest VA welcomes new artists to the fold including Portugal's Robert Hoff, Spain-based The Unborn Child, as well as fellow Sweden's Lakej who is known for his for his works on Adriana Lopez's Grey Report, Psyk's Non Series, Lewis Fautzi's Faut Section and Edit Select to name only a few.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Looming Presence" that's a wild and raw analogue trip. Powerful and huge, the outstanding, stuttering synth effects fill the airwaves like a devilish storm brewing reeking of darkness and haunting tones.

More Portuguese power in our label this time coming from the hands of Nørbak, One of the most fit music producers in the neighboring country. Across his relatively short career he has developed a very own personal style, always evolving and changing, technically perfect in every delivery.

Regra is the first cut in this EP, filtered dynamic stabby sequences grow on the first bars until the groove is fully powered. The real value of this track is the arrangement, with a few fundamental elements, Nørbak manages to have things constantly twisting and changing, structure is the key here. Unique is the word. 
Ferramenta speeds the tempo a bit, again starting with the filtered elements and progressively adding hysterical sequences on top while the frequencies grow in the lower part of the spectrum. Expertly crafted drones and ambiences add a floating feeling to the beat.

Flipping the vinyl, Amarante, another solid proposal made with expertly processed rhythms, complex chords and a deep approach in sound design that perfectly pairs with a dynamic approach. 
Last tune Nota is more stripped down element wise, a solid kick is the main piece for starters soon helped by a metallic Fm like synth line and as always an expert drum programming and a constantly evolving arrange. 
A sonic proof of the personal interpretation of contemporary mental dance musical that breathes hard work into every second of this EP.

@elisa-batti is a sound designer, pro­ducer and media artist based in Ams­ter­dam. Her activ­ity is diver­si­fied between a spec­trum of dif­fer­ent projects, all of them con­nected through one red line: elec­tronic music.

Her music has been released on various electronic and techno labels such as Semantica, Artaphine, Diffuse Reality, Collective Details, One Instrument, West Rules, Observant.

She started her career in 2007, work­ing for the con­tem­po­rary dance scene, exper­i­ment­ing with soft­wares and sounds, cre­at­ing sound­tracks and land­scapes for chore­o­g­ra­phers.

Through the years she has been working for various choreographers and media developers  (Albert van Abbe, Artes Mobiles, Andreas Hannes, Federica Dauri, Elisa Zuppini, Ola Maciewska,..) and her work have been presented in many venues worldwide such as Palais de Tokyo (Paris), ElbPhilarmonie (Hamburg)  Tai­wan National The­ater (Taiwan) , Santar­can­gelo Fes­ti­val (Bologna), Fusion Fes­ti­val (Berlin), ZKM ( Karlsruhe).

In the last years her interest in sound spatializations led her becoming one of the advisors and tutors at the IDLAB in Amsterdam, where she is currently helping and facilitating artists with their sound spatialization. 

She is also active in the techno scene as a producer, label owner of Immaterial.Archives and DJ.  Such a var­ied approach to the music is also due to Elisa’s back­ground, which is not strictly artis­tic. She grad­u­ated as envi­ron­men­tal engi­neer and got a PhD and two Post Docs at the Tech­ni­cal Uni­ver­sity of Delft. After a period teaching Thermodynamics at the Anton de Kim University in Suriname, she is cur­rently work­ing at TNO, the Netherlands Institute of research in the Energy Transition team.

A 6 track EP by Minneapolis based pioneer, Autokinetic and Label curator FLAWS. 

The fusion and meeting between the two came on FLAWS recent summer tour in the US with folks Lonefront and Decoder, FLAWS caught Autokinetics live set at The Great Beyond on a hazy sunset, the ‘vibes were perfect’ in his eyes. 

They got together towards the end of the tour at Autokinetics place in Minneapolis with Autokinetic setting up his legendary synth collection and the Trio being, Autokinetic, FLAWS and Lonefront jamming for hours. 

When getting back home to the UK, FLAWS was touched by the whole experience and reached back out to fellow folks of the tour, this has created the path to the Split EP you are listening to now.

One of the most exciting DJs from the new Berlin scene, originally from Ukraine, ALIS. has really taken off over the last year - appearing at such venues as Tresor Berlin, FUSE Brussels, P.A.L. Hamburg, HÖR Berlin, Bret Amsterdam, RSO Berlin, Rote Sonne Munich and sharing booth with some of the best and brightest across the world. Her free spirited and high energy sound mixes all different genres from 00s tribal and hardgroove techno, ghetto & hard house, 90s trance, UK garage and more. She's very versatile with infectious energy that continues to grow into other genres, mediums and more. By recently joining Berlin based collective @tymeberlin, ALIS. is helping in organization of non-profit event series, which include music performances, talks and workshops to encourage cross-cultural exchange and to rebuild new networks among DJs, musicians, contemporary artists and cultural activists in Berlin with a common goal of supporting her native country Ukraine.
