Foule Contact is about freeing ourselves from barriers and finding ourselves, together, through music. In it’s more profound way. Going from online, virtual, to real-life, genuine experience by way of those tracks. Foule Contact is the idea that the current atmosphere won’t go on forever, and that we expect and look forward to meeting the dancefloor and the dancers. Full of energy and love accumulated the last few months.

Atascasa (5/5/2020 - 6/5/2020) was a one hit wonder born out of 3 lost souls who got accidentally locked in a house while planet earth underwent dramatic circumstances. Their survival instinct drove them towards flowering creativity and diverse sexual excursions with only one outcome: Tropical Bondage. The vocals are nattily recorded by the 2 Argentinian dancers and choreographers Brenda Boote Bidal & Marcos Sr. Arriola. Synths, Drums & Production by soFa. Mixed by t-woc.

it's the third compilation on digital with a quality mastering on that super rare italo-electro utterance, perfect for dancefloors or mixes. Another trippy strings and arps, throat singing and ecstatic chanting all around.
We have edits from the likes of SKATEBÅRD, Hysteric, Adrian Marth, Flemming Dalum, Franz Scala, Sneaker, Katmandu, Vinilette. All tracks have been carefully edited without overdubs, in order to bring the spirit of classic italo disco and reflect the real underground vibe from the age.

Señor Chugger, a prolific Bristol-based producer and remixer, makes his debut on Wrong Era with an EP filled with his unique blend of euphoric synth lines and sophisticated, arcane themes. His music immerses listeners in a synth-ridden realm, offering a collection of instant classics. The EP, 'Sunset On The A38' , also includes remixes from Wrong Era Label heads Sesto Senso and fellow label affiliate Radondo.

Señor Chugger sets the tone with '75 To Seafront ', a track that kicks the release into high gear. The tight, weighty drums and metallic pads create a powerful backdrop, while the descending bass-arp adds a visceral element. '75 To Seafront' seamlessly combines Chugger's monstrous bass tones and fluttering emotional melodies, creating a journey of euphoria with each rhythmic combination.

'Party In A Field In Cornwall' flirts with flashes of early UK house and Señor Chuggers special blend of Italo Disco. A creamy synth line, singing over a rasping, defined bass riff, unfolds into the mix. Still in keeping with the solidity of the intro track, percussion is robust and melodics are carefully detailed. The midway point of the EP is marked with the endlessly emotive and sophisticated 'Festival Skyline'. Painting an artful sonic depiction of its title' Festival Skyline' breathes a modern breath onto the golden era of new wave with choral harmonies that bring a tear to the eye and a bassline that anchors these emotions.

Stepping into the synthwave 'From The Harbour' weaves into flange-soaked electro. A swirling synth hook dances over a pulsating bass arp. Deliciously tuned vocoder lines swim through the crisp instrumentation with punctual vocal stabs. Choral pads join the medley preempting sliced vocal chops that put his elegant sound design on full display. These vocals whip across the stereo field, concluding the track's excitement.

'Sunset On The A38' closes with the fittingly named Devon Expressway. An anthemic pad-driven atmospheric piece with dimly lit twilight imagery. A tweeting synthline clambers over the augmented low-end hinting at the central theme to come. Haunting choral synths chant and swathes of pads sweep through the arrangement. A CMI cries out, and an enigmatic melody pricks the ears. Señor Chugger combines his innate gift of pushing genre boundaries, painting sonic scenes with effortless charm.

Along with these 5 shimmering tracks, label heads Sesto Senso and Wrong Era's Radondo join the release with remixes of '75 To Seafront' and 'Festival Skyline'. The illustrious collaboration of Fabrizio Mammarella and Franz Scala brings their signature metallic arps and earth-shattering drums to the remix. Respectfully lifting key elements from the original and injecting them with their infectiously energetic flair, a peak-time dancefloor gem is born. Radondo gives 'Festival Skyline' a stripped-back rework, letting the choral harmonies of the original shine forth. His signature percussive approach tows the line for an infectious bassline to dance below the arps of Señor Chugger.

M.A.G.A. supporters are dumb and stupid, that’s the simple and plain truth. M.I.D.G.A. fans, in turn, are people with outstanding musical taste and tend to be open-minded and fun to be around, especially on a packed and sweaty dance floor.

In case you are still not familiar with the latter acronym, M.I.D.G.A. stands for “Make Italo Disco Great Again”, the result of the out-of-the-box collaboration between Parisian label Cracki and Hong Kong-based imprint Fauve Records. For the fourth volume of their acclaimed compilation series, none other than Mystery Affair (SXDNS202), Shubostar (SXDNS042), Sara Miller, COLE, Maltitz, and Romain FX jumped in with the best of their respective games and delivered their vision of how modern Italo-Disco-infused cuts must sound.

Premiered here, Sara Miller’s contribution to the gala comes soaked in bliss and good mood brought about by the magic concoction of a bouncing bassline topped with frolic synth layers and upbeat leads. After well-received appearances on Permanent Vacation and Live At Robert Johnson, the respected Berlin-based Irish producer held no punches for her beautiful debut on Cracki/Fauve. Kudos!

From Sweden with Italo to Dresden with love. Stockholm's @djdjcity drops his first release on Dresden's Uncanny Valley with the COSMICOMICS EP, a 100% fun record for all the senses, deeply inspired by Italo Calvino's iconic short story collection.

COSMICOMICS borrows its name from a collection of short stories written by Italian author Italo Calvino, first published in Italian in 1965. The stories have inspired DJ City to a record that aesthetically draws from 80s Italo Disco and 70s science fiction films. In the book, each story is based on a scientific fact about the world and the cosmos whilst using fiction to ask how we understand it. Where Calvino's stories are comical and absurd, DJ City surrenders to the sublime and romantic and moves further into the metaphysical world that Calvino created to come up with three energetic and melodic tracks bursting heavily with fantasy and drama. Deeply rooted in dance music’s history, they shine with Hi-NRG-vibes, strict dancefloor commitment and little easter eggs like that Drexciya-reference in COSMICOMICS.

The cover of the record is a painting from 2020 by Swedish artist Jens Fänge called THE INN. We see a man in front of the entrance to a Mediterranean-style building and a woman in a window on the upper floor. The picture seems to have been broken up into several dimensions, and abstract details make it difficult for the viewer to know exactly what and when the scene is taking place. When shown in Shanghai, the painting was censored by government agents and had to be taken down. A testament to the power of the image. Perhaps it shows our main character, perhaps it shows us the author or the artist. Depending on who listens, who reads and who looks, a multitude of universes open.

Berlin-via-Belfast artist Cromby announces the launch of his new label Potency Records as a home for his rave and acid-infused productions made with the dancefloor in mind. Launching with ‘Potency 001’ on the 9th October, the EP follows on from releases on Feel My Bicep and Unknown to the Unknown.

The three-track EP opens with the highly sought after ‘Shake It’ which has been teased in sets over the last couple of months including his Streaming From Isolation Boiler Room where he went back-to-back with Sally C, United We Stream session and the brilliant high energy ZeeZout mix. ‘Try Acid’ and ‘Ahhhh’ continue to showcase Cromby’s signature sample love affair, bold basslines and ecstatic melodies.

Talking about Potency Cromby says, "I wanted to start the label as a creative outlet for my own explorations between the realms of house, techno and acid, combining old school rhythms with new school flavours. I’m excited to team up with an old friend and amazing illustrator Chris Martin to portray the label's art vision. Expect plenty of larger than life trippy record sleeves!"

Repping the Irish flag across continents, Cromby played his debut Stateside show earlier this year at Good Room New York and has become a Panorama Bar closing legend with several 10-hour+ stints. Other key dates include Robert Johnson, Wilderness Festival, AVA, fabric and Printworks.
