— Artist Intro —

Ntogn [en’togg-n] is a conceptual electro-acoustic project developed by Hypnus Records' founder and sound design graduate Michel (b. 1988, Sweden). It aims to breathe life into a life-long fascination for magic with the use of contemporary and classic sound design techniques. This has resulted in what Resident Advisor's William Lynch describes as "fierce, artistic techno that sounds like little else out there" and a discography ranging from earth-shattering techno to dark, throbbing ambient excursions.

Welcome to Tuning In, a series by Zabam. I’m Lara Tanger, a therapist trained in ACT and Mindfulness-Based therapies. In this series, we explore the stories of people within the electronic music scene, focusing not just on what they do, but on who they are and what drives them.

At Zabam, we’re passionate about fostering creativity, growth, and connection. Tuning In provides a space for honest conversations about what truly matters and how connecting with these insights can guide our journeys. 

Today, I’m excited to introduce our first guest, So-Fi. Born and raised in Paris, she spent years exploring underground music. She moved to London in 2013, then to Berlin in 2017. During this time, she built a vast vinyl record collection. She is now a resident at the Superluminal and Discarded Gems party and regularly plays at clubs like Hoppetosse, Watergate, and Renate, while also touring internationally.

Tuning In with So-Fi

We are very proud that we are allowed to release this great record. The swedish producer has provided us with these 5 fantastic atmospheric tracks for release. The EP will be available as 100 limited coloured vinyl in a great colour and the classic black one.
The picture of the cover was taken by the artist himself with an analogue camera. The design was done by the legendary Alex Ketzter. Look forward to what's coming.

@suchablurrr are a duo (the first in our series!) with a wide-ranging taste in tracks. Their sets pull from a blend of foundational influences: drum & bass, house, oldschool acid techno and electro. 

This mix provides a high dose of acid techno. Based mainly on 90s gems it’s a nod to the roots of the psy-offshoots we’re enjoying and replicating today. Such a blurrr blur the past, present, and future with this extra-psychedelic set. 

Such a blurrr are busy with gigs and can mainly be spotted around Düsseldorf and Bielefeld. The soonest-approaching dates to catch them live are: 

March 7 at Schleuse Zwei in Bielefeld
March 13 at Open Ground in Wuppertal
April 11 at Velvet Bar in Düsseldorf

This track is the first step into the "Mystery" album. "Radiance” is an invitation to an inner journey. This minimal techno piece, with its gentle bass lines and floating synthesizer pads, creates a space for reflection and calm dancing, preparing you for the story that unfolds

As 2016 draws to a close it is with great honour and pleasure that we present our final podcast for the year from the one and only Kenneth Christiansen. 

The term "legend" is not thrown around lightly here at PC HQ and we consider this man one of them. Kenneth has been an inspiration to us and many around the world with his pioneering sound both as an individual artist and as part of Pattern Repeat as well as his influential label "Echocord and Echocord Colour". 

Kenneth has brought many artists to the scene and exposed them to the wider techno community including the likes of Mikkel Metal, Deadbeat, Fluxion, Brendon Moller, Luke Hess, STL, Resoe and Quantec. A true pioneer in the dub techno scene following from the likes of Basic Channel and Maurizio.

Kenneth has played at some of the most infamous clubs including Fabris, Tresor, Berghain and Panaorama Bar not to mention festivals such as Sonar, Dimension and ADE.

Kenneth Christiansen has long been the guardian of dub techno’s second wave. The Dane & likeminded friends also built their very own techno temple in the form of Copenhagen’s intimate Culture Box. Revered all around the world for its focus on quality music and local resident talent, it remains the only place to hear such deep sounds in the city of Denmark.

More than a decade after starting his label there have been almost 100 EPs and LPs that have constantly updated and revisited the techno and dub template and have very much contributed to the careers of those that release on it.  

As a DJ, Kenneth has been spinning ever since the beginning of the 90’s, immediately picking up gigs all around Europe because of his unique style and tightly honed sonic vision. Few people manage to remain credible and engaged with the underground over such a long period of time, but thanks to his devotion to his city, sounds and the scene, this man has managed it with ease and is here to stay. 

We are sure you will enjoy this hour long mix exclusively done for us here at Primary Colours. 

This mix was recorded live at Culture Box playing Vinyl only as Kenneth only does. The mix gives a great insight to the city of Denmark and the vibe Kenneth creates at Culture Box whether it be a warm up set or an early morning closer.
