“Calor”, producido por ambos, es el resumen de muchos días trasteando con máquinas excepcionales, hasta dar con un sonido contundente y serpenteante, que consigue filtrarse por cada poro de la piel hasta electrizarnos por completo. El track es una colección juguetona pero coherente, intensa, enérgica, donde ambos productores juegan con nosotros en cada nota, hasta hipnotizarnos y alejarnos a otra galaxia por un instante.

(EN) The Mexican producers Tapia and Ulises Arrita have been experimenting and playing with music from all its angles for a long time, with a unique sound, which they manage to shape unique pieces, as enjoyable in a club as at home. "Hispteria" is their latest release under the Nein Records label, and it promises to consolidate a sound that will give a lot to talk about.

“Calor”, produced by both, is the summary of many days tinkering with exceptional machines, until we find a forceful and meandering sound, which manages to filter through every pore of the skin until we are completely electrified. The track is a playful but coherent, intense, energetic collection, where both producers play with us on every note, until we are hypnotized and moved away to another galaxy for an instant.

With more than thirty releases in its catalogue, the always surprising Mexican label Bonkers is a true powerhouse when it comes to boosting the new generation of techno artists from all over the country. Appearing for the first time on the imprint, the young and skilled DJ and producer Samuel Lupian (SXDNS087), based in Oaxaca, the blessed and enchanted land of mezcal, brings all the energy and drive of his youth to “Framed, a four-track EP featuring two sprightly originals and two perky remixes provided by Ulises Arrieta (SXDNS193) and Ludviq, the label boss himself.

Throughout the release, the combination of trippy voices, dark synths, fast BPMs, and hypnotic percussions create an interesting listening and sensory experience. The title track we reviewed is no exception to the rule. “Framed”, besides being extremely well-crafted, depicts Samuel at the best of his creativeness. The young Mexican talent has definitely delivered his best work so far and one of the best tracks of the year – in our humble opinion. The boy is growing up, peeps, watch him out!

David Meyer is a DJ based in Madrid. His influences range from EBM to Italo, Disco and Dark Wave. Synthetic melodies and deep basses are predominant in his sets, always accompanied by a dark atmosphere.

Meyer is resident DJ at Phoenix, located in the city center, and has also performed at the famous Berlin Club on the Switch sessions where figures such as Curses, Younger than Me, Nick Monaco and Damon Jee have left their mark.
