Eight Dates Radio Show by Discka — December 2022

This short text is written to tell you about a new record on the waves of Right.FM made by the Saratov artist, musician and DJ Camin' and uncover a little about the author.

In 2015, inspired by the activities of the NII club and the Gost Zvuk label, Vikenty together with the Total Resistance creative community team began organizing events in his hometown and inviting artists from different cities of Russia. While the parties were held, Camin' wrote a lot of music and released it on various cool labels like Kazan's Get Busy, British Opal Tapes and Cong Burn, Odessa's Sistema and New York's Dirty Tapes. The music has depth and groove.

Vikentiy's DJ sets always share a link, some resemblance with his own music, and this does not depend on the genres he uses. A blend of ambient, IDM, dub and breaks awaits us on the link, and we will gladly press play.

Introducing a new monthly radio show called Ay Papi Issues.

In this issues vip client and uvd tsao are sharing the brightest edges of modern dance music from Central and South America. Extremely feminine and avantgarde, flamboyant and provocative, ghetto-born and roots-blending –  it doesn’t pay much attention to so-called "good taste and the acceptable" and now it’s probably one of the biggest sources of ideas changing the global electronic music. 

The first episode is delivered by uvd tsao. It is about finding rhymes between south america electronics and other genres, which can seem completely different at first but turn out to have something in common: their ghetto origin and not being too serious about themselves.

Fishhh w/ Kokonja (31.08.23)

Part of the St. Petersburg underground for more than a decade now, @hoavi-music(Kirill Vasin) has released on labels around the world since debuting with Cyclones in 2013. With Phases, he joins the Gost Zvuk roster and builds on his previous ventures into ambient and dub inspired house with a six track mini-album that channels elements of his Phobia Airlines LP. The general atmosphere is built through industrial sound design, moving from quick-fire broken beat and woozy downtempo into rhythmic noise and abstract reductivism. The whole thing collides to form a sort of futurist, machinic statement that relies more on rhythm and percussive synth work than the balancing of melody, seeing the artist hone in further on physical modelling synthesis and computer-generated textures. This mission statement only adds to the inescapable sci-fi aura at work, with Hoavi providing a fresh take on the kind of zones explored by luminaries such as Best Available Technology, Vainqueur / Hallucinator and odd moments of The Flashbulb.
