Following their departure from music in 2021, Faye moved on from songwriting and music production to discern other vocational interests that would be as meaningful, motivating, and fulfilling as music making had once been. Four years later, Faye is back with the unreleased EP that they had recorded in late 2018. The Air You Take In is an EP of demo tracks featuring four unpolished songs that Faye wrote and developed during post-college ambiguity and existential dread. The release of the EP never felt truely possible and was delayed to the point of being perpetually hidden from the world, or lost, as indicated in the EP’s subheading. The release of these songs is an act of letting go of the idea of a perfect song, sound, or modality. The Air You Take In lays out a collection of emotionally intimate narratives of navigating loss, grief, death, and the process of self discovery. 
Grateful for the opportunity to share their music with people that enjoy their melodic vision and creative lyricism, Faye would like to thank their friends, comrades, confidants, collaborators, co-conspirators, and creative supporters for continuing to inspire Faye to dream and authentically choose music for themselves first. Faye would also like to thank their therapists, without whose guidance and unconditional positive regard, these songs may never have been written.

This final mix of East Tennessee Requiem, origionally written in 2016 and recorded in Boulder, CO in 2018, has accomplished the profound and promising capacity for musical frisson that it origionally showed as just a single, evocative thought of melody. Since its first conceptualization, several versions of the song have been recorded and performed live over the course of two years. Every creative and unique musician that has stepped up and/or sat in to play East Tennessee Requiem has each brought their own musicianship into the song's aesthetic and development. This final version seamlessly weaves together harmonies created in recording sessions, improvisationally developed musical dialogue from live performances, and the origional vision of cello in the guiding cadence. 
East Tennessee Requiem is a love letter to the passage of time in existential crisis, heart ache, and Tennessee.

Something of an autumnal lullaby this track is an acoustic folk cover of Marceline the vampire queen's song "Everything Stays" from the show Adventure Time. Faye sings this cover featuring Alvero on Bass and Bright Pearson on fiddle.
