For the first release of 2022, we are pleased to welcome Amsterdam- based Romanian Alex Preda, who already participated in Odd Echoes Vol. 3, and this time, he presents his debut EP  ̈Moons & Stars ̈ on the label with a fabulous remix by Lexer.

The Preda sound has developed over the years, with his taste developing into the electronic sounds of the likes of Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis in his teens, into his signature driving techno. 

Always with an element of warmth and melody underneath and has evolved into integrating live elements into his performances, something Alex has been perfecting over the years.

The lead track Might Be Love ft. Katty Heath, is the perfect opener, full of groove and catchy melodies, that play along with the fx lead vocal, creating a super club piece.

Lexer approaches the reinterpretation of the lead track, adding new and catchy melodies, synthesizers and textures, giving his well-known stamp and taking the version to his own terrain.

Delving deeper into the EP, we find more of Alex's signature sound, but with a deeper and more emotional touch as shown in  ̈Don't Move" where the focus is on the beautiful chords that make the perfect match with the celestial synth melodies.

To close the EP we have “Searching” which is also another dance floor oriented track, fitted especially to turn the heat on the on any set. And last but not least, “Away from IT” is the perfect electronica/breaks closing track to round up this special EP.

With early support from Innellea, Joris Voorn, Kevin de Vries, Brina Knauss, Nick Devon, Lauren Mia, the Element, Jonas Saalbach, Miss Melera and Olivier Weiter, ‘Mind Escape’ is an energetic track that is perfect for peak time sets. The melancholic chords, combined with the heavy and staccato bassline, juxtapose well with the retro synths.

'Philosophy of Time' is the contrasting second track of this EP, with a constant duality between the lower and higher frequencies. Longing for space, this track is best played in the early hours.

Label boss Olivier Weiter is back with his brand new single Toyger. The EP includes the original mix and two outstanding remixes cured by Esoteric Circle and Mees Salomé, the latter of which is premiered today. Yet another gem released by WEITER!

This track was made by the inspiration of some different factors. It includes a Heavy basseline, Melodic and Hypnotic synth, Flowing groove and a meaningful deep vocals who where written by Juhaina Saada (For her instillation art project) and recorded by Aida Qunbar and Lana Jawad.

Those words seem to fit this difficult period where sadly the Corona virus has took over and we are all "trapped". I made this track a while ago though and I have been playing it in all of my recent sets, and now I have decided to share it with you. Enjoy
