In this Sangoma episode, catch "Cuckoo's Mix" by NULLA TAAR, who recorded this exclusively for RadiOzora and it features 4 brand new unreleased tracks (plus an unreleased early mix collaboration with Oxyflux) , and also his latest EP "Polymorphia" released on the label. Nulla Taar is the project of George Tsafaridis, from Thessaloniki, Greece. Nulla Taar project has been in the making since 2019. The reason he started this project was to do something new and experimental, with deep meaning and something people with a wider range of musical tastes can relate to. His inspirations came from bands with the likes of Tool, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Doors, Frank Zappa, Miles Davis, and many more that shaped his idea about what music used to be. In 2023 he released a 34-minute-long EP on Sangoma Records called "Polymorphia", with modern psychological issues as the theme. His music would be described as twilight forest with a bit of full-on, a touch of progressive influence. Some of his signature motives are Polyrhythmic grooves, meditative soundscapes, heavy leads, and bizarre scales and chords. His music ranges from 148bpm to 159bpm.

Tom Vaylo embodies a fusion of handpan (Hang) with magnetic electronic beats, creating a unique blend of trip-hop, dub, and world music. A musician from a very young age—playing instruments such as the flute, guitar, and saxophone—and a French handpan pioneer, Tom Vaylo has released four albums since 2019, as well as compositions for films, live shows, and performances. By merging the worlds of acoustic and electronic music, Tom Vaylo expands his creative horizons and offers us a fresh, innovative, and psychedelic musical journey.

A lot of music is getting made these days. One of the main missions of Altar Records (and any record label) is to sift through the infinite grains of sand and find those precious objects worthy of being shared with a wider audience. Sometimes it’s something as simple as the musical equivalent to a perfect sea shell; on a few lucky occasions it can even be a nugget of gold; in this instance, it’s a rare and one of a kind gem!

Hudur Shrim created Profondita, a new downtempo ambient and dance-floor project custom made for Altar Records. It features the best of both downtempo psy (psybient) and mid-tempo progressive sounds. The debut album ‘Ciel’ is destined to be a memorable part of the growing Altar Records release catalog. We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do!


Background about Hudur Shrim:

At 22 years of age Hudur already knows a lot about overcoming challenges. Having grown up in Lebanon, he lost his father and brother to the war -something that would have pushed most people over the edge. Searching for hope and security, the rest of the family quickly moved to Germany, and a few years after moved to Israël with one goal in mind: to start a new life.

At school he channeled a lot of his anger into acts of rebellion, and was considered the 'bad boy' of the class until he met Eyal Markovich and teach him to make music with Cubase and Logic.

He fell in love with it right away, intrigued by the fact that he could somehow make and express feelings with a computer and music program. So he "dived" into it with everything he had. Years later Eyal saw that he was actually highly skilled, and gifted with a great ear, and there was some talk about making music together.

He was composing mainly on Logic Pro for about four years until Eyal showed him Ableton Live and Altar Records artists such as Alwoods and Cabeiri. This was a revelation to Hudur, and out of that revelation was born a new project he called 'Profondita'.

As can be heard via his productions, Hudur’s not a fan of high bpm music, and greatly prefers slow psychedelic music and deep house. He’s also got a solo project called 'Ko-Doa' and makes progressive deep-house music under the European label EWM. For Hudur, all’s well that ends well, as today he has a successful career in music, and gets to channel all the depths of emotions that he has to share via harmonious and inspiring compositions and creations.

Vantara Vichitra Records’ series continues with ANUBIAN’s set.

Anubian is the solo project of Nicolas from France. He carefully curated a unique selection of sounds, textures, and shapes, to create a special and powerful atmosphere. His tunes are a fusion of electronic, organic and modern sounds driven by a very dynamic kick and bass.
He explores different universes and ideas in order to share his own taste of psychedelic. Anubian’s primary focus is on creating good energy on the dance floor.

Last year, Anubian’s first EP Spectral Madness was released on his Bandcamp.
