As a fan in anticipation of listening to PHITTED’s latest body of work in 7 years, you have to expect an explosion of thought provoking content, especially since it was made in just two months. Sorry For Your “Lost” was solemnly created just prior to, and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic we are all facing. The title derived from the concept of us being in a time of self destruction, where we are not only losing people in the physical form, but losing ourselves mentally. And this EP definitely showcases that from start to finish. It begins with its intro, “ATTENTION!” which catches your ear with it’s riveting look into PHITTED’s perspective of current events. “MAYO” brings sonic intensity with hard hitting 808 drum patterns & aggressive lyrics. “Speed Racer” starts to dive into spacey synths & intimate melodies. Next, we have “Spark”, a dark, comedic take on relationships that could possibly go sour. “Hell Raiser”, while socially rebellious with it’s ominous, minimal production, is sure to be a fan favorite. In his first single “Defense”, he addresses his experiences in dealing with trials and tribulations between friends and foes. Last but certainly not at all least, we have “Self Reflect”, the song that brings it all together with personal lyrics that we all can relate to. It really gives the project as a whole it’s perfect balance. In its entirety, you can feel the impact of being in quarantine left with only time, musical equipment & aggressive thinking.
