Next up in the Fast Forward Audio Series we present: Roma Ptashenko

From 2012 Roma has found his inspiration in the roots of rave culture — the 90s: Belgium with its accelerated-rough rhythms, melancholic trance and acid with its emotional edges, Britain and hard trance from Bonzai Records, as well as early releases on German Harthouse and rave revival from ТРИП label. 

His first DJ experiments took place accordingly: two old decks, CD disk records and endless mixing.

As a result, Roma's sets have become adjust compositions that belong to the dancefloor, but leave the space for real bangers. The big-bit track smoothly enters techno cage: Cari Lekebusch suddenly weaves with Nina Kravitz's sensual hits, and Prodigy remix drowns into progressive house of the duo Der Dritte Raum.

Over the past few years, his performances could be regularly seen both in the main Moscow techno-mecca Mutabor, and in St. Petersburg's Blank or the closed underground space of Raf25, in Tbilisi's Drama Bar and Yerevan's Poligraf.

Roma is a member of two iconic Moscow communities: the Volchok streetwear project, where he leads his series of podcasts and organizes parties. And the Popoff Kitchen music queer community. This year, the association was included in the list of the most influential projects that form youth culture.

Concurrently the prolific artist has released a series of bright podcasts on such labels as Maricas, Pornceptual, Honey Sound System, Mixmag, Veneno Brazil and many more.

Voronezh is a city with a dense cultural background. Every year there is an increasing number of creative groups that get local people into the music and art world. 

Local Radio team has been promoting independent music for the last couple of years. They regularly conduct online broadcasts, showcases and promote their own label.

As part of our research about the local Russian scene, we represent an independent online music broadcasting platform based in Voronezh, Russia - Local Radio. 

Lera Demuuri made her debut on Local Radio a year ago, thanks to her persistence, enthusiasm and love for music, she became a resident and a member of the team, during this time she managed to play in Izich, Kruzhok and Kazan “Werk”

Lera has a passion for fast and dynamic groove. She prefers a 4х4 rhythm, but does not hesitate to mix different music genres, creating a bold and non-trivial sound.
