D.J. MacIntyre's SLC-6 Music opens the month of October by presenting the seventeenth edition of their SIX:Stage-X compilation series. Now running for close to a half-decade, the beloved various artists showcase continues to search the globe for the freshest new talent that the electronic underground has to offer, oftentimes featuring a cohesive blend of progressive and melodic techno styles. SIX: Stage-17 follows suit and lands in impressive fashion with exclusive music from (in order of appearance) Javier Román, SOUL ALT DELETE, ISMAIL.M, Dennis Addams, Headkube and Checo Cotela.  Label debutant Javier Román gets the collection underway with the melodic sounds of 'Pulsar'. Selection five finds SLC-6 stalwart Headkube returning to the label following a remix of Runik's 'The Edge of the World' from earlier this year. The release concludes with rising talent Checo Cotela who presents his second ever released production entitled 'Becle'. Madloch's Sound Avenue continues a strong start to the year by welcoming Will Konitzer and MeowWow to the label for their debut single. Hailing from the USA, Will Konitzer first emerged over a decade ago on the strength of tracks for Bush Records, Krafted Music and Triple Fire Music. Noted for his timeless progressive style, the Austin resident became a name to watch and would go on to several successes across the next decade, adding Light Side Music, Whose Haus and Musicon in his resume, the latter of which would serve as his primary home. Meanwhile, also calling Austin, Texas home is MeowWow who entered into the world of electronic music as a DJ first, quickly becoming a fixture of the city's vibrant nightlife and performing alongside top international talents such as Nora En Pure. MeowWow's production debut would come just over a year ago via Krafted Underground, a release which would lead to future projects on Elevation London, Perfecto Records and more. Having remixed MeowWow's 'Mystic Garden' to begin 2023, Will Konitzer now joins forces with his fellow countrywoman for their first ever collaboration and Sound Avenue debut entitled 'Moon Dance', alongside a remix from label returnee Forty Cats.

Clubsonica continues a strong start to the year by welcoming Dabeat back to the label for a new EP. Sitting as one of Colombia's premiere progressive house talents, David Barragan aka Dabeat has enjoyed a steady rise since first emerging in 2008 with a release courtesy of Beatfreak Recordings. Now laying claim to an impressive discography, the Santiago de Cali resident has showcased his music via Anjunadeep, Mango Alley, Plattenbank, Proton, Replug and Sudbeat. Also a primary contributor to Clubsonica, Dabeat has recorded six remixes for the Colombian imprint across a five-year stretch, beginning with his label debut in 2018. Now, following a well-received debut for Global Underground to begin the year, Dabeat returns to Clubsonica for his first artist EP entitled ‘Vesta | Evolving', alongside remixes from Rauschhaus and Sean & Dee. 

Selection one finds Dabeat paired with Kamilo Sanclemente. Together the duo have been responsible for some of the genre's most memorable tracks. The duo continue their creative partnership for the label in fine fashion with ‘Vesta'. Here, Dabeat and Kamilo masterfully synthesize their talents while breaking down boundaries to serve up a melting pot of inspired progressive house. Its pneumatic energy turns over quickly, flowing through a maze of mutated electronics and fiery rhythmic fractures, before reaching a hyperspeed collision of sonics for the ultimate high-octane drop and grooved out finale.

Also paired previously on multiple occasions to great effect are Dabeat and Juan Pablo Torrez. Together the Colombian duo have amalgamated their talents for remixes, none more impactful than their Hernan Cattaneo supported remix of Antrim's ‘La Fin Du Monde' to begin 2024. Now paired once again for Juan's burgeoning Clubsonica imprint, the duo deliver their first and much anticipated Original production entitled ‘Evolving'. The fellow countrymen drive each other forward, beyond their individual comfort zones for a mature club-effective record; one where thunderous beats, flowing rhythms and quirky melodies prelude a rousing finale.

The lone interpretation of 'Vesta' is provided by Rauschhau. The German producer has been a highly regarded figure of the melodic house underground since first emerging in 2017 with a contribution to Steyoyoke's ‘Ethereal Techno' series. The next half decade saw Rauschhaus craft a consistent stream of superlative releases via Beatfreak, Eleatics, Einmusika and Stil Vor Talent. Rauschhaus makes a welcome return to Clubsonica with a poignant rendition of ‘Vesta'. With a light and airy approach, Rauschhaus remodels the track into a smooth uplifting slice of melodic house. Bound by a first act of key changing basslines, hypnotic rhythms and finely manicured percussion, its soaring melodies marry beautifully across an emotive break - one where the German artist engineers a glowing crescendo for all those morning dancefloors out there. 

The release concludes with Sean & Dee with the lone interpretation of ‘Evolving'. Steadfast in their approach moving forward, the duo would build an impressive resume highlighted by releases via Beatfreak, FSOE, Siona, UV and Vandit Alternative, the latter of which would see them collaborate with Trance icon Paul Van Dyk. Now, Sean & Dee return to Clubsonica with a cosmic take on ‘Evolving'. Built around a deep thumping framework, the Italian duo focuses on rhythm and groove across the first act, nicely balanced with a healthy dose of tranquil arps, striking stabs and cutting edge effects. Carrying a swaying cadence into the main break, the duo build emotion as anthemic melodies percolate against a backdrop of fuzzy arps, eventually giving way to a flurry of claps for an exhilarating finale to round out the release perfectly.

Spanish talent Pedro Sanmartin and Colombian duo NUFECTS join forces to deliver Ignition, a stunning two-track release that showcases the synergy between melodic house and progressive energy. The trending series has been a platform not only for a wide assortment of upcoming talent, but continues to add some of progressive music's most notable names with each successive edition. Genre veterans Golan Zocher, Greenage, Kamilo Sanclemente, Ric Niels and Ruben Karapetyan, amongst others, have all graced Clubsonica's much sought after Sampler Series, sitting alongside a carefully curated blend of talented up and comers.
