Diego Montiel siempre ha sido un inconformista consigo mismo y con casi todo lo consolidado, cree en el espíritu de crecer y mejorar, escuchar y comprender diferentes puntos de vista. 

Su carrera musical está muy ligada a sus proyectos personales. Comenzó a pinchar y montar fiestas en BCN en 2003, en varios clubes nocturnos locales, para luego crear “This Side UP” su propia noche de club, pinchando, seleccionando artistas y colaborando en la producción con varias de las mejores marcas de la ciudad. Ha estado tocando en clubes de renombre en Europa, Sudamérica, Asia, además de ser parte del cartel de algunos festivales. 

Ha fundado el sello discográfico Side UP Works, lanzando artistas reconocidos de la escena mundial, así como su propio trabajo musical. Y cómo ha sentido la llamada a transmitir y compartir sus conocimientos, ha creado BeSide School, donde trabaja como C.E.O y docente, y SHEA Radio, donde gestiona el proyecto de radio y selecciona a los artistas.

Umwelt (New Flesh, Rave Or Die / FR)

Descripción:

Una nueva fiesta Polybius con otro de los artistas que publicaron material en la serie MOOG Your Body. Presente en el vol. 2 con una descarga de acid electro, Umwelt es un francés veterano de la escena rave de ese país y con una colección de alias artísticos y una discografía tan largos que probablemente hasta él ya ha perdido la cuenta. Le ha dado a las más insospechadas mutaciones de rave, acid, electro, techno e industrial y el único punto en común que se le puede encontrar a todo ello es una mala leche y una contundencia considerables. En suma, otro perfecto Homo Polybius.

Aqua Bassino delves Deeper in warm deep house territory. "Milano Bossa" is a smooth groove sparkling some fine piano lines atop. "Aqua" may start off somewhat aggressively, but quickly returns to a fine xylophone and piano-based groove. The heartfelt "Na Na's Waltz" waves on by gently, while the happy "Welcome Home" invites trumpet player Colin Steele to get the jazz party going. My favourite cut here is "Send My Love". Although it has a tight beat and a catchy bassline, this track has so much melancholy in it, it gives my little shivers each time I listen to it.
