Coucou, putain 15 ans bientôt que j'ai quiter (du moins que l'on m'as pousser dehors) la musique et je retombe sur Soundclud par hasard, je me suis dit "tiens je vais voir si mon pti Kriss est toujours là" et oui, ça sonne toujours aussi bien, bravo mon poulet. la bise de Maxx.

It's a big welcome back Down The Stairs to our good ol' Glasgow pal and electronic music selector, stalwart... institution ffs! Jamie brings us a tasty platter of melodic house, techno and electro that will surely satisfy even the hungriest of heads.

Jamie is a part of the original crew from Max's Bar & La Cheetah in Glasgow, and is still going strong. There's a good chance you'll catch him DJing there on any given weekend. He's also a regular presenter on radio stations Radio Buena Vida and Clyde Built, and has a vast archive of shows from his time doing the Saturday Manatee show on Radio Magnetic.

Our history with JT goes back to the early 2000s, and he was in fact the first promoter to put on the 'legendary' Dirty Hospital (John @debukas and our bro Steven's electro thing) the  at the infamous Club 69.

In the ever-expanding search for good electronic belters, we went into building a bridge between two continents responsible for so many good artists in the last few decades, with some of them being true legends of the house sound. From Detroit to Napoli and Marseille. From Zurich and Bari to Chicago. Ladies and gentlemen, this is 'Bridges: An American - European Dance Connection'

What better way to open the various release than with Chicago's immortal Boo Williams. 'Real Time' is a power tool bearing Boo's known sound signature with dance floor rhythmics and some creamy melodies throughout the track.

Rick The Godson Wilhite's & Jon Easley's A2 'Mental Feelings' brings those irresistible Detroit pads layered over subtle bassline and occasional percussions. Although the track keeps a constant course, it is still multi-layered and emotion-provoking.

Blooming synth pieces played over dry drums and with good momentum is just what you would expect from another of Chicago's finest - Gene Hunt. His B1 'Space Relm' delivers a fast-paced flow with beautiful and crafty breaks in between.

B2 'Escape Two', the '90s sound tour de force. Dan Piu manages to capture the pure ambience of that era in this multi-styled late-night belter. From baseline to synths, the track is constantly progressing
and shifting through dark and moody segments. Good stuff.

If we wouldn't know better, C1 'Tribute To The Sound' would probably be acknowledged as a work of some Detroit head, but no. This beautiful tune is a work of Marseille-based Life Recorder. Truly specific Detroit House vibe in this one. Ironically, perfect puzzle for the Bridges release.

Tribal atmospheric dirtiness on C2 'The Deep(5 am)' signed by Bari's Nu-Cleo sounds pretty simple on the outside, but at its core, it carries a strong bond between bassline, rhythm and pads. Swimming into summer sunset the track is filled with gold deepness and organic hits.

D1 'Surface' by Nemanja Krstic is a perfect warmer for any occasion. Late afternoon or early morning you name it. What gives this track a special vibe is its unfiltered raw sound which forms a beautiful fusion with deep sequences. The beach is calling. 

D2 "P.C.M. (Parthenope City Music)" is a pure definition of a catchy loop segment. The soulful guitar segment is soon joined with a dancefloor bassline and lush hats only to be pushed into playful intermission picking up the speed and once more pulling it back into that sweet segment. Enchanting tune by The Mechanical Man!

C1 Life Recorder - Tribute To The Sound [Snippet]

WE FORFEIT are back, fresh after the Summer heat waves. And we’ve got a gem from June in Valencia where a very special night took place. 

With a glut of djing talent, WE FORFEIT inaugurated their first night with their good friend Nico aka @neudphoto. With releases on @bordelloaparigi, @mysidian, @pinkmanrecords, and @dearsoil, Nico has an impressive back catalogue. In Killing Time the U.S. born synth artist delivered an incredible live set, one that we have recordings of for this first of the season. 

Opening the two hour session is a young Dj whose heart lies in the golden age of techno. Nahuel got the night going with a cracking set of classic artificial intelligence style electronics. Classics packed!

Robbie’s up next with a slice of his two hour set. Tracks include E.R.P., @egyptianlover, @lucalozano, and lots more.

Moody tones begin Chris’ mix, brighter hues coming as Valencia Bacalao gems sparkle in the muggy Valencia night.

Our headliner, Neud Photo finishes the evening’s entertainment. We’ve brought you 45 minutes of his intense live jam session. Crossing the boundaries of acid, electro, new beat and synth, Nico delivers a session that had bodies sweating and limbs flailing on the Killing Time dancefloor.

Welcome back after another brief hiatus we're back and we have a beast of a mix from the big man Perseus Traxx! We kick off with some cracking Gated bits. We caught up with Perseus AKA Nigel to see what we can expect from himover the next few months.

On May 26th I’m back there again doing the first live show in a very long time, alongside the legend that is Derek Carr. I’m really looking forward to this one. The Imaginarium is a truly brilliant little venue, recently set up by my friend Roya and her associates, with 'Plant and Deck' selling records and plants on the ground floor next to a small cafe bar and space upstairs for, yoga, open mic, acoustic, and parties upstairs. There's a real family feeling in there, and a brilliant place to hang out, with frequent in-store sessions for the shop, and intermittent broadcasts for NARR Radio. It’s only about 110 capacity so anyone wanting to come down should keep their eyes peeled and maybe check out The Imaginarum Facebook page or website:

Friendship made in music is a thing forever. Cruising on sounds for the last two decades, Forbidden Dance is a new chapter in one of those friendships. Two artists from Croatia are branching out on their own after being intertwined in numerous projects on the local and regional scene all these years. There comes a time when years of collecting and spinning vinyl developes a need to acknowledge one's experience through the finest step, selecting and releasing personal favourites. In short, Forbbiden Dance will be a personal hommage to the music fed by founders immense love for different electronic soundscapes both dancefloor and lounge oriented.
