FL aka F.Lawless, was born in Chicago, IL, a city which has been well publicized in the media as of late, with the mainstream emergence of Drill music as well as for the countless acts of violence that have plagued the city in recent years. Having moved to Denver, Colorado in his youth, He now calls Colorado his home state, and represents it proudly. The real name of the Denver rapper is Jayce Cabell. Jayce has been creating music since 1998 starting with a now prehistoric, crudely built home studio, in a 2nd floor apartment.

 He showed his hunger for battles early, which then paved the way to understand songwriting. As he progressed, He solidified himself with a group named "The Foodchain" which fueled his drive to create, and drastically increase his own potential for star power. With The Foodchain, FL released several projects that are all credit and evidence to the groundwork The Foodchain has paved, for the emergence of FL as a solo artist. From clever punchlines, and thought provoking metaphors, to Melodic hooks, and rock solid song making ability, FL has proved to be able to stand alone as an impressive artist. 

FL is on the forefront of the new era of legalized marijuana. It is been called the sophisticated smoker's movement, a shift from typical smoker stereotypes to an era of intelligent and elegant smoking. In an effort to advance this movement, FL has been hosting very exclusive smoke-outs that are designed to give fans face time with the artist and bring the creative community together.

He has garnered a strong fan base which has been a great, and captive audience he has been able to share his talent and art with. FL's hard work never stops, if he is not performing and releasing music, He’s working on music. Always sharpening his tools. He has been building his catalog for true music buffs, and connoisseurs in and outside of the music industry. 

As a member of The Foodchain, FL has featured on songs with rap legends like Talib Kweli, Rass Kass, and Raekwon. He taken his music to the birthplace of Hip-Hop, and amassed a long and rather noteworthy performance resume. The Foodchain has made a significant impact on the Denver hip hop scene. FL hopes to bring his music beyond the hip hop scene and build a more diverse fan base in genres like EDM. Stay Tuned for more offerings from this artist!
