Fefe - Sketches from Memories (19-24) - 01 An ode to Riverdance

When OK EG enters Varden it’s 8:30PM on Sunday. It’s been a slow and steady build during the day, much slower than the day before, people have been given time to rest properly from a late night on Saturday. This is the journey. The ebb and flow of the forest. It’s their job to get the crowd going for the last couple of interval sprints. They are well rested and ready.

OK EG’s expansive sound is deep and diverse. Their compositions display a range that shifts between delicate, textural soundscapes, and spiralling, mesmerizing, mind-trip techno.

They first went to Monument festival in 2024, taking a break from a residency at EMS in Stockholm to spend a weekend in the forest. They brought a field recorder with them and spent time on the riverbank recording the sound of stones and water.

And listen to this level of dedication; while preparing for their live set in 2025, they used those recordings to write a closing track called Monument Stone. This is what they said about it. ”In the moment of performing it at the festival, we felt that everything came together. The crowd, the music and the site connected and it happened just as we’d imagined it.”

During their set day turns to dusk. We transition together, ready for the night - the sound, nature, forest and lights. Hand in hand.

“This set was recorded live 5-7pm, Saturday evening at Pe:rsona, 2025. The seemingly last dry-ish stretch and set of wild (weather) weekend, sunshowers made way for glistening droplets to  sparkle through the shade sails and lay foundation for me to weave between deeper percussive cuts and shiny crystalline daytime techno.”

Pjenné is a Naarm/Melbourne-based DJ, radio broadcaster, curator and label manager. Her musical identity is shaped by the expansive, psychedelic soundscapes of the southern bush, an influence that permeates her trance-inducing, progressive, and hypnotic selections.

Pjenné’s sets are characterised by deep-digging selections and an impeccable narrative craft, both of which are on full display in this masterfully executed recording. Tune in now for two hours of deep, lush afternoon techno daydreams.

Naarm/Melbourne-based producer and DJ Dashiell returns with his second EP on neighbouring label Felt Sense Recordings, 'Middle Man', following 2021's much beloved 'Going Nowhere Fast'. Featuring five tracks, including a collaboration with label-head Louis Marlo, the EP is a refined instalment in the producer's considered & purposeful catalogue.

The producer, known for his own playful and slightly stargazing take on his city's beloved brand of tekkers, not only as a solo artist but as one of three of live outfit Menage, returns with a piece of minimal a little more sleazy, and plenty more psychedelic.

'The Drugs Are Wearing Off Fast', premiered here, is that psychedelic sleaze given form. Dubbed out keys chitter back and forth with a group of droids, as a grumbling bassline slaps against an incredible crunchy, rolling drumline, clearly built to entice anyone thinking of going home.
