a little Midwest iroh-core for ya; hope it hits you in the feels. better mixed and bass-reworked version coming when I feel like using that 30-day pro trial or paying for an account, but I don't think I have enough tracks to justify doing that yet.

I'd never binged Avatar: The Last Airbender from start to finish before this month. I only really watched it when Nick would be on in the background at Thanksgiving for my younger cousins.

Credit to Jeremy Zuckerman and Benjamin Wynn for the compositions that inspired this, but aside from the samples from A:TLA Iroh dialogue, everything was recorded or programmed pretty much from scratch on Ableton 10 Lite. Also wouldn't be fair not to credit Nathan Rodriguez (Nathan Nix) for the chords he used under in his cover, because that got stuck in my head and I couldn't hear it any other way. Shout-out to Ugritone for making their Riot Drum plugin so incredibly flexible and affordable. Special thanks as always to the amazingly talented and encouraging CHRSBRRY for the inspiration, guidance, and support that's allowed me to start exploring music for the first time in years.

Sidenote: my dad complained my music was too loud and fast for like a decade and he finally told me I made something too slow.

just for fun. i treat this mostly as a blog to document my progress as i relearn writing/playing, and learn how to produce (just about everything in a spare bedroom)

i like punk, technical metal, lofi/chillwave, a lot of stuff in between, and unexpected genre crossovers. (it probably shows a little.)
