Lusine has been one of my favourite producers for a long time. I'm just going back over some of his first releases on Ghostly International from the early 00's, and it's amazing how ahead of the game he's always been. His combination of delicate productions and beautiful warm analogue melodies, intricacies and amazing shuffling grooves have been a big inspiration for me over the years, with his "A certain distance" album from 2009 being one of my all-time most listened too albums.

So Lusine was one of my ideal remixers for the album, and thanks to Sean at Decibel festival, the hookup was made and he was into the idea. He's turned out a beautiful remix of Woven Ancestry, which if you've seen me play recently, you probably heard in my set. The mix has special balance of being a great piece of music to listen to at home, but then when it's unleashed in a club it's groove takes on a whole new life which I hadn't seen coming until I tried it out - Thanks Jeff!

Kocleo (a.k.a Gianni Rina) is the Italian born DJ and producer whose recent releases on Morris Audio, Nervous and Definitive have turned a lot of heads in the scene. His upcoming EP „Back On This“ is an assured 2nd outing on the always dependable Audiomatique label.

'Back On This' sets out his agenda in fine style - a deep, moody roller that showcases Kocleo’s prowess on the mixing board, as well as his knowledge of engineering dancefloor moments.

'Mind Games' builds round a thick kick, offset by intricate and percussive elements that add a serious swing to the groove. Deep synths and treated vocals bring an epic layer, and a tightly programmed bass drops to underpin the whole vibe.

'And On' is a super deep cut for the heads, bordering on dub techno its stripped down, spacy atmosphere and deadly intent.

Esoteric Circle is a new project behind which we find the Piacentino brothers whom Julien is part of, he already signed in his own name acclaimed releases in the past years. 

The brothers deliver here a massive EP, of what can be defined as an accurate and modern version of today’s techno. 

From the nervous leads of Infinite Walls to the space mood of Chronosphere, the guys drop a massive and sharp sound while always infusing a perfectly restrained tension. 

A subtle balance also illustrated on the title track Column, as on Dawn. This last one is produced in collaboration with an other whizz duo of the moment, In Anima. 

The french talents sign an obvious dancefloor weapon, calibrated for boiling warehouses, also reaching a warm deepness at the same time. For the story, the track has been massively supported and played by the scene in the last months, notably by Tale Of Us… 

Last duo ! But not least. Fur Coat has reached an impressive standard of production in their recent works and this new remix extends their quality series. Following the original trail of Dawn, they add with a master precision their very own melodic and magnetic touch to transform the bomb … in an other bomb. 

Second release of the year, Column EP is the 25th one in Family NAME catalogue. And Esoteric Circle definitely a name to keep an eye on…
