FOr Dimensions sounds. Wanted to do a house track hip hop style, everything played n from the pads. MPC style... House inspired by the MPC...

I wanted to get something summery feeling. Reaktor was used, Kontakt for the steel drums and the brass, played in by hand to keep it feeling kinda loose.

Fear Of The Rave - The Invention of Clouds

Created for CDR - Dimension SOunds 2015 project.
I used ableton for all the tracks. I used reaktor a lot, other NI plugs such as guitar-rig and the excellent local audio samples and my trusty maschine Mk1, still going strong...

1. Poly Titian - Beatbox Guy On A Music Market - 3 samples  - Basic beat that underpins, rough sounding off beat hat (606 in there or some sparkle as well as the beatbox on it’s own was missing the higher freqs).

This was created for the CDR - Dimensions Sounds project 2015.

There's a whole bunch of otehr sampels and stuff in there. Also used some NI stuff. Reaktor (quite a bit) and Maschine. This track will form part of my live set..

Is this Techno? 

Perhaps, but it comes at you with a sly, subtle wink, a shuffled gait and a lopsided smile. An assuredness that makes you both nervous and intrigued. It commands your focus. Like a homeless person begging for change in a smart neighbourhood, the contrast is intriguing. There's character, underneath the dirt. An otherness you almost connect with, a sound to be fascinated by, a pile of rags you can't stop staring at.

This is handmade electronic music. Straight from the heart of Aidan Morrison / Fear Of The Rave. Hackney dweller, citizen of the world, lover of techno, house music and booty shaking bass. 

Bringer of the rave, in all it's fearsome, noisy, sweaty glory.
