We are pleased to welcome Lolla Tek over at 8day, a name that is well known to Amsterdam underground for the past 9 years. Ukraine born, she moved to The Netherlands capital as soon as she made a decision to dedicate her life to electronic music scene, and went all the way from playing in tiny dancebars to holding residencies in the most iconic world clubs, with an average of 100 gigs a year locally and abroad. She recorded a massive remix of Seek One's original track coming out soon on MNFST! Bomb alert!!

Urubu presents his new techno EP called TRAGOEDIA.

This EP is born from a desire to mix the codes of techno with those of cinema as an emotional vector. Taking the form of a Greek tragedy TRAGOEDIA consists of three acts.

Act I represents an instrumental setup and presents the promise of future tensioning. It is the warlike preparation born from the throbbing Bulgarian songs, to the rhythms of the drums of war announcing the confrontation of the act II

Act II shows this power up. The climax is achieved through a combination of dissonant and unresolved chords. The energy is at its height, it is perceived with rapid percussion and work on certain frequencies and saturation. The impression of loss of control is total.

Act III poses heavier bass, it is the outcome, the long-awaited resolution. More minimalist, the feeling of nostalgia is palpable through a minor scale but also hunting bodies that call to the memories of the act II. Synthesizers and classical instruments are mixed to create a harmonic richness and a complex texture.

Inspired by filmic music, the 3 acts are presented as so many ways to reintroduce techno. In an orchestral manner, brass and string reasoning as a tragic hymn. The soundtrack is enriched by the codes of cinema and addresses the emotions.

Vincent Hole makes his first phobiq appearance with four mightily powerful tunes and the title track "Without You" is up first providing a furious bassline and hypnotizing synths. Next one is "Bad Love" which goes darker with mysterious sounds and menacing stabs, preparing the ground for a more sinister approach before "Like A Phantom" takes over with electrified basses while crackling percussions push for an epic ride. Closing the EP is "Mystic Nocturne" where the gears are pulled back at the beginning with a deep-atmospheric opening before heavy synth chords and stomping beats take center stage.
