Hailing from California, now a proud resident of Melbourne for the past nine years. Her musical journey began amidst the vibrant electronic scene down under, where she fell head over heels for the enchanting world of melodic house, techno, and progressive house.

Plethora's story took shape during countless nights at iconic venues like Revolver, where the pulsating beats and hypnotic melodies ignited her passion for the art of mixing. It was her partner who ignited her passion, teaching her the art of DJing and setting her on a path of sonic exploration driven by the desire to create unique and unforgettable experiences on the dance floor. She has now had the privilege of playing at Pitch Music Festival, Tanglewood Festival, MyAeon, SubClub, Sooki Lounge, and has come full circle by playing at the Melbourne venue where it all began - the Revs cage. 

Plethora's signature sound is a captivating fusion of progressive house, house, and melodic techno - a seamless blend that transcends boundaries and genres. But what sets her apart is her audacious spirit, known to throw in unexpected twists - a spontaneous Latin groove or an R&B gem - to keep the crowd dancing with surprise. FPR Podcast #014 - Modal - Tanglewood Festival 2023

This recording was taken from our Feather Print Records showcase on the Geo Jungle stage at Tanglewood Festival 2023.

In an unexpected term of events, our takeover was moved from the Funk Tunnel Stage onto the Geo on the last day of the festival, which enabled the debut Birds Of A Feather set to be privileged with the opportunity to close the stage, which was not taken on lightly at all. 

The boys, understanding the assignment, bumped heads the night before and compiled the selection of music which follows. Thanks for all those that danced with us on the day, this was a truely special experience.

For our next installment of the podcast, we have chosen to highlight one of our core members at FPR once again, reigning from San Francisco, California, PLETHORA has been our art director since day one, truly one of the hardest working and most dedicated visual designers to be floating around Melbourne. Having spent the last 5 years perfecting her craft as a DJ & producer behind the scenes due to her immersion amongst the electronic music scene here in Victoria since moving across the big drink..We at FPR have been blown away by Plethora's dynamic style of afro house, melodic house & progressive techno infused with flairs of different cultures which have she has been blessed to grow up amongst. This year at Tanglewood Festival was nothing short of a perfect picture of where she is at as an artist, and thought it was fitting to showcase her mix as the next podcast in our series.

This recording was taken from our FPR takeover of the Geo Jungle stage on the first day of 2024 at Tanglewood, warming the floor for a selection of our residents, and is sure to get you pumped to party, no matter what setting.

We first spoke of doing an EP with Acid when we first came into contact with his sounds in the basement club here in Melbourne, Sub Club..And were beyond excited when he submitted some tracks for us to put out into the airwaves.. These, are those fabled tracks.

Introducing one of our all time favourite DJ’s to be a part of the underground dance music scene in Victoria.. Creating vibe from anything curiously weird, weirdly melodic and melodically different.
Heavy Footer is a Melbourne based artist who has knocked the feathers off a variety of festivals, warehouse parties and clubs across Australia and Thailand, and is part of the evolutionary family that makes up Victorias Pelican Villa.

Hailing from London in the UK, with inspiration from so many angles…Her versatile style of sound ranges across a variety of genres including house, techno, electro, progressive and drum and bass, and from light and melodic to filthy beats, and is no stranger to getting a crowd moving together. She favours music with positive vibrational frequencies and trippy brain triggers to induce psychedelic tendencies.

FPR Podcast #01 - HEAVY FOOTER

Known to us as Magic Moe, Moe Aloha is one of our favourite seasoned veterans of dance floors in many different corners of the earth and resides currently in Melbourne where he dedicates his time to creating magical party’s all across Victoria, indoor and in the open air of the beautiful Australian bush. Moe has been a huge part of curating some of the Melbournes most magical gatherings/collectives such as Garden of Eden, Celestial Gathering, Melbourne Dance Music Academy and the Temple of Boom where his work ethic, mentality to inspire and create magic for the people has no bounds.

  Hailing from the mean streets of the East End, London: Moe Aloha has seen his roots and adoration for travel influence his uniquely diverse range in sound through his sets today. His first passion was in the garage punk scene with the first sounds to peak his interest being the Pixies, one of the primary influences of Nirvana. He then immersed himself in the sounds of the UK rave scene spending his formative teenage years raising “gun fingers” to the emerging sounds of UK Garage and Grime, and later through to the sound system culture in Dub, Jungle and Reggae. His passion in music from the west indies led him through his time in Madrid and Barcelona of which he spent the best part of 2011-12 after travelling through Central America and landing there. It was here he discovered the power and sounds of electronic music that was to be the start of his love affair with the all encompassing ability that techno and house had to bring people together. His  unique spectrum of sounds is best described by us as “Jack’d out cosmic house and techno” taking influences from his UK roots blended with experience of dance floors across the globe.  

We are so honoured that Moe has put this incredible hour and a half journey of driving  outdoor techno sounds together for your pleasure, we truely hope you enjoy the ride!
