Teardrop Factory's debut album 'Thrash in the Heart' falls into existence in a swirling haze of broken sleep, streams of consciousness and teen despondency.

They pick up from where they left last year's excellent 'Topshop EP' but expand their alternative 90s worshiping earworms with an added layer of noise. Grit and scuzz consume 13 pop songs about mermaids, electric ghosts, car crashes, geometry, surfing, eating insects, video games and lucid dreams.

Made at home by the band and recorded in their bathroom, then mixed with Julian Tardo (Church Rd Studios / Bowlegs) and finally, mastered with MJ (Hookworms) at Suburban Home.

Podcast #108 is brought to us by Mazes ahead of the upcoming release of their new album 'Wooden Aquarium' on September 8th. The podcast is the first in a series of three entries featuring demos, album tracks, influences and the music of guest artists featured on the record. Here's what Jack from the band had to say:

"Here's the first in a three part radio show to coincide with the new Mazes album 'Wooden Aquarium'. The first three tracks are the various stages in the life of Astigmatism; from the very first demo, to the semi decent recording we sent off to Jonny Schenke who eventually produced the record. The third version is the one that features on the LP, complete with a guitar solo that I'll never attempt live. Next up is Heather Strange and a cut from the Fergus & Geronimo LP that made us sure Jonny was the guy to record the album. We met Heather doing karaoke and it was only re-listening to the Fergus album, did we realise Heather was on that too. Weird. The show moves through Fugazi to Red Krayola and then to the evolution of the 'Notes Between/Letters Between' song"

Primitive Parts are three friends, Lindsay Corstorphine (Sauna Youth / Monotony / Cold Pumas), and Male Bonding's Kevin Hendrick and Robin Christian. They have previously released a single 'Open Heads / Signal' on the SEXBEAT label and contributed a cover of The Yummy Fur's ‘Chinese Bookie’ to last year’s 'Collective Hiss' compilation (Faux Discx).

'TV Wheels / The Bench', the band's second engagement with the Faux Discx label (Soft Walls / Omi Palone / Sex Hands / Hookworms) was written in a narrow room in Homerton, between two churches on a Thursday evening in the summer of 2014. It was recorded to tape by Mark 'Knuckles' Jasper at Soundsavers.

Primitive Parts have recently played with The Homosexuals, Ultimate Painting and Juan Wauters and are touring the UK early next year.

Bruising formed late last year after singer and guitarist Naomi Baguley spotted Ben Lewis wearing a Perfect Pussy t-shirt in a Leeds nightclub. Bonding over a mutual love of all things fuzzy, they began messaging voice memos from their phones back and forth until, finally, they got together in the same room and started writing some songs. Since then their infectious, ear worm, fuzz pop has gained them acclaim from the NME, DIY and even Radio 1's Huw Stephens, as well as being described by GoldFlakePaint as 'The best new guitar band in the country'.
