Flexing spaced out electro cuts, Canadian duo Minor Sine Project are back with their 5 track EP "Stitch in Time". Tracks such as "Edge of Glory" and "A Stitch in Time" simulate expansive, acid dripped worlds with plenty of low end to shake the bass bins. "Stretched Thin" displays MSP's penchant for creating sonic blends of modern breakbeat and 4x4 rhythms. Both energy and tempo are brought up another notch on "One for the Road" and "Warp Speed", with each track further proving that Minor Sine Project will continue to twist and bend genres while always applying plenty of that signature groove to each work.

The town was derelict, not even a murmur could be heard throughout the cobbled streets. Ominous grey clouds loomed overhead casting an eerie shadow over the buildings. The street lamps flickered unnervingly, in brief flashes they illuminated colourful shop fronts and striped parasols. This place had once been full of life, a place where people had come to escape the stresses of every day life. But now everything had changed. Something had been here and it had taken all signs of civilisation with it.

After releasing on Frits Wentink’s Bobby Donny label and Dirt Crew Recordings, Icelandic producer Felix Leifur brings four tracks of hazy deep electronics to BROT01, the first in a trilogy of releases on Reykjavik-based label Lagaffe Tales.

There was a song and a dance for every occasion in New York city, people paid good money to be entertained of an evening and gave little thought to the poor souls behind the scenes. As the red curtain lifted they were presented with a million whirring lights and the flashing bangs of a drum. One solitary vocalist boomed out across the system, elegant tones built for more than a downtown theatre. The place was falling apart. Cracked ceilings and marked floors, this was not a place of luxury but a dive of demise. The singer was alone, but not alone. 

Long Island Sound are a Dublin via Berlin duo who have crafted a niche for their intricate take on house and breaks, picking up a firm fan base of followers and support along the way. A new EP is set for release on Signs Of Space, a crafty affair.

This one has taken too long to lineup, but then again hasn’t it arrived right on time? Unknown Mobile flies out of the gate with Clocktower, maintains momentum through Felled Birch, and cools down as Starstruck enters: a real whirlwind of a record for the main room and chill-out room alike. One could say that the artist is influenced by their location in place and time, but its feels as though UM’s sound has been shaped by powers more distant. While the choral harmonies, low-end arps, and melodic meditation transport us through a late 90’s discogs dig, the modernity in production guides us to the future. Future Times is very pleased to announce that our next release will be a 7” single from Oakland’s Motoko & Myers! This duo is made up of Wonja & DJML, both of whom have blessed electronic music in numerous ways recently together and individually, via releases on Jacktone, DJing together for their Herzog Hideout radio transmissions, and their amazing album from 2018, Basis Key, released via Bass Clef’s digital imprint Open Hand Real Flames.

M+M make music from a really special place, wild tones, drum-machine-breaths and weird, pitched synth space combine with a sense of rhythm that folds in on itself. B-Side “Whimbrel” represents this perhaps best of the two songs, with a loping, wandering-on-the-beach sense of synth space and not-quite-dancehall drums. 

“Plover”, however, is a perfect set-starter for the techno freaks, with the lightest drums coming in halfway over a thick, shifting loop of perfect glass techno for the DJs. Tip!

""Origins" is a collection of 6 pillars in exploratory electronic music from 6 different uprising producers and sound artists. A varied, yet cohesive collection of bright, meditative, and pulsating atmospheres.

The opening track, "Hornet", from Florida's Alien House uncovers otherworldly landscapes as they traverse through a haze of deep-space electro. Fluttering synths fill barren craters where shadow figures lurk in and out of light. Rising and rising with a strange, euphoric tension.

The elusive Joe Gigs follows suit with "Time Slip", a slow-rolling house arrangement that stutters underneath a chord phrase built for an endless sunrise. Faint vocals echo out as an introspective flute pattern comes into view. Finally met with a warm, slinky bass-line that tingles the spine.

Continuing on with the house grooves, Portland's Well Being gives us "Soft Mood", which is just that. Shiny, crisp percussive elements ride a groove that peaks and valleys in all the right ways. Gentle acid bass echoes out in radar ping patterns while swells of smooth synth and indistinct vocal chops fill the room.

Starting on the flipside we have a choice cut from Austin, TX stalwart, Corduroi. Deep, lush synths become the lifeblood of "Planet Cool" while a break-ish rhythm catapults us into orbit. Acid bass sequences drip like honey as the synths gain energy and form. Suddenly we find ourselves four on the floor as every element seamlessly lives as one.

Nestled in the middle of side B features "Cloud Mirror" from Akasha System. Hushed out toms and broken snares meet breathy, misty synths before the sub bass guides us into the next realm. Suddenly a hazy bell phrase comes into view followed by mysterious clicks and clacks. And of course, what A.S. song would be complete without a dreamy mallet section?

Couldn't think of a better finale than this epic journey of a track from LA's Pkacarl. "Holding Together" starts us off with an end-of-the-world piano scenario before being joined by what can only be described as an electric guitar oozing through the portals of an entire galaxy of synths and pedals. What really makes this song is the mind-crushing bass-line with an invincible spirit that may keep you dancing infinitely.
