They say birds of a feather stick together, and it looks like a few Get Physical birds have flown South for the last bit of winter. To be more specific, it's Get Physical’s turn to take on Miami once again. 

And, true to form, a compilation spanning 18 tracks from friends new and old means we've left no sun-bleached stone unturned. We're talking palm trees, tiny cocktail umbrellas and a hot, sticky helping of techy house, sexy vocals and shore-worthy buildups from the likes of label mainstays DJ Pierre, Ryan Murgatroyd, Tom Budden, Emanuel Satie and Hector Couto -who's strung the whole compilation together for your continuous listening pleasure. Also featured are fresh faces like Eagles & Butterflies, Mobius Strum and System of Survival, whose numerous contributions to the release make for some very welcome organic percussion and laid-back vibes of their own. Also featured is Tom Peters, who returns to Get Physical after appearing on our last Full Body Workout to team up with a certain Honey Dijon for the Miami bonanza. All with the Get Physical stamp of approval, of course.

Ninetoes arrived on the house music scene with a bang in 2013. His track ‘Finder’ set Ibiza on fire that season, being the most Shazam’d track on the island that year. This left dance music connoisseurs around the world are asking themselves, “Who is this Ninetoes guy?” It was like he appeared out of nowhere and was immediately getting spins and recognition from a variety of highly decorated DJ’s such as Loco Dice, Carl Cox, Jesse Rose, Luciano, Davide Squillace and Koze.

Now they have a fresh EP on Nic & Mark Fanciulli's Saved Records, where they drop a two track #rbsb EP.  First up is our Debut Transmission in the superb “Lay Down” which pulls the listener in straight away with its catchy hook and rolling rhythm whilst the rich bass line pulsates along with the effective vocal cuts.

Whilst “Nose” also commands attention from the top with its dramatic rave stabs that later combine with the rising sirens, creating an intense buildup on the drop.

Premiering on DHA is Human Machine, a musical project composed of four Sicilian DJs and friends: Musumeci, Sisio, Simeone and Pavi.

Mixing their 4 different musical roots and skills into one new identity, the Sicilian combo have a simple rule: make danceable music. After their debut 12" 'Black Mechanism' on Engrave Ltd put them on the map, Human Machine made an appearance on Connaisseur Recordings with the strong 146 EP still hot in Ibiza and in the most influential DJs' sets. This time around Human Machine's latest EP will be released by the Berlin-based label Exit Strategy, already receiving full support by Ame, Dixon, Solomun and Adriatique.

‘Bang The Box (Slam remix)’ retains the all-conquering vocal of the original, but plunges the track down into propulsive depths with more aggressive percussion and atmospheric synth stabs. 

Richie Hawtin provided the following comment on the remix: “Released in the early 90s, the original Jack Master EP was a pseudo-name that I used to record fun classic Chicago inspired tracks that were made for my DJ sets.  Slam’s new updated take on the original, uses the original voice sample (that’s actually mine) and reworks the track into a full throttle stomping jack track perfect for todays dance floors!”

Hailing from Berlin, Cinthie has played a key role in guiding the underground with quality stripped back house tracks, either with her residency at Watergate, her trendsetting labels or her original material. Rydim is a mystery. Well, partly… One thing that isn’t a mystery is the high level of acid house authenticity at play here. Dark, heads-down strobe light seduction with the focus squared firmly on the soul of the dance. 

‘FOMO’ lives up to its name thanks to some ominous reese craft. Purring savagely throughout the track, leaving space for the sinewy 303s to dance wildly, it sucks you right in and spits you back out into the lasers at speed. Miss it, miss out. 

Don’t miss either Johannes Albert’s remix or the Bass Tool either; the former maintains the acid but re-shapes the bass into a warmer vibe while the latter strips everything back to that growing, heated bassline. Both will leave everyone in the house happy… 

Finally we have ‘Fairlight’. A homage to the mother of all samplers? That’s another mystery to solve. But we do know it’s another beauty from Ridym; naked beats and bass with crucial pads woven in for optimum breath-takes, every rush any dancer has ever felt since the 80s is saluted and celebrated right here.
