Morphing

A long, meditative ambient improvisation on my five-string electric cello with an eight-second delay, plus some eventide reverbs goodness) I use a sustain pedal to open and close the gate before the delay, so I can layer the sounds only when I choose to do so. Its more fluid this way than a looper.

My live performance at the Plast-Art gallery in Chernihiv, Ukraine, on 18.04.2018. NS Design WAV 5-string electric cello, laptop, 8-seconds delay with a gate that opens up when I press the little pedal, Arturia Minifilter with some lfo modulation, a little bit of Eventide Blackhole, that's all there's to it.

One of my first tracks with Softube Modular,  made way back in early 2017. Took me a morning, including making patches, the "melody", and a simple mix-in kind of arrangement.

Why So Mysterious

An improvised jam on a hybrid modular system from last year. Analog sound generation and filtering, but digital fx and realtime sequencing courtesy of Impromptu Modular Phrase sequencer inside VCV Rack and a little midi keyboard. Basically I've set up a five step sequence and some buttons to quickly switch between steps and change notes on fly.
