There’s a dreamy sense of timelessness throughout. Jazzy chords, hazy pads and deep muffled kicks that seem to come from a far away place. It all works together beautifully and guides the listener into a dreamy trance where rhythm and melody are freely swimming in a sea full of lush reverb and delay.

Enivrèz Vous - Sid

Kahru sets the tone perfectly for the 8th series of the Implicit Mind Cast. The deejay and producer is originally from the UK but moved to Berlin where he personalized his sound. After living in Berlin for 5 years, he got the opportunity to play in clubs. Since then he has been moving crowds everywhere in Europe from France to Sweden and from the Netherlands to his motherland. Currently, he is established in Amsterdam but still is a resident for the Berlins Golden Gate club.
 
The UK-deejay delivered some big stuff for the Podcast Series and went a bit stronger compared to the usual. You can expect a deep and powerful set from the beginning till the end filled with vinyl, which is all compressed in one hour. He tried to give you a bit more of a club feeling and show you what he has been showing other people on the dancefloor. So join his trip with dashing basses, creepy sounds, minimalistic percussions and, continuous grooves. You won’t be sleeping during this one, enjoy!

Track description: Two friends made the original and they asked around for 8 artists to do a remix, each in a different genre. I was picked for the dancefloor/festival remix so I came up with the groove, melodic basslines, drumkit programming, vocal sampling and time-stretching, arrangement, piano arpeggio, mixing & mastering :)

About Matje
Artist biography: Emerging into the musical realms as a self-taught guitarist, Matje has developed his passion for electronic music back in 2008 when he starting spinning as a resident in a local club, initially mixing various genres of house music and then focusing more on the minimal sound. Throughout his musical affair, he warms up the crowd for Nu Zau & Dubsons in 2014. Without any second thought, he starts producing in 2015 and releases his first EP in digital format on 9.05.2017 at [brosh] records, followed by his second VINYL ONLY EP on 15.08.2019 at Otaku Records which is out on deejay.de and other main distributors (www.deejay.de/Matje_OTK006_OTK006_Vinyl__934110), with early support from Cezar, Dubtil, Priku + many more.

He becomes an international artist after performing in Belgium for the first time, in 2016. Then he becomes a London based artist with an impressive portfolio and an immersive and distinctive sound. Together with some friends, he starts his own label "Equinox" in order to create a cutting edge platform for releasing both dancefloor-oriented tracks and also ambient soundscapes for like-minded individuals to collectively enjoy!
