The beginning of this song was inspired by the band Braniac and was named to commemorate them. The song has distorted synthesizers and heavy beats.

Ambient song with long sweeping synthesizer sounds. It starts off without a beat, then a crunchy beat with light distortion fades in.

Feed - Pavilion

Dark and slow ambient song with distorted violins, background sound effects, sweeping pads and a distorted beat. The ending is both atmospheric and noisy.

Personal favorite. This is 3 short songs rolled into one. Another way to look at it is as one song with 3 parts. Each part is different from the rest. The transitions are abrupt. The song itself is drunk.

Feed - Drunk

Heavy bass, distorted synthesizers, fast drums and a steady build-up intro featuring a digital sitar sound comprise this energetic track. It's a chaotic song named after the equally chaotic movie 'Memento'.

Feed - Memento

This is a cover of a song by Coil. The original is an old favorite of mine and others who enjoy Industrial music. Matmos did their own version of it, so I thought it would be interesting to continue the legacy. I would love to hear another electronic musician who knows and understands Coil to do a 4th version of the song. The spooky part is I had no idea Jhonn Balance passed away when I started working on this in 2004. I completed it in Dec. of that year. I remember because it was the same month I was downsized from a job. After completion, I thought to myself that I had not heard anything from them in a while and decided to go to their website where I discovered the news.

Feed - Disco Hospital

This one starts with a slow systematic build-up, then there is a an abrupt transition to the chorus. There is a breakdown point somewhere in the middle, then the chorus happens again with some extra build-up at the end. Pretty solid track with some structure.

Feed - Jam Session

Heavy industrial electronic song with a loud distorted synthesizer and a distorted clanky beat. No industrial album is complete without screeching noises. This song has a few scattered throughout.

Feed - Malicious Intent

Ambient song inspired by the likes of Autechre, Aphex Twin and Plaid. This song was designed to have different parts with transitions, progression, white noise and various effects. This one is choc full of different beats, breaks, random sound effects and background textures. It has a number of variations in the beats and synth lines, sometimes subtle and sometimes drastic. At certain points I experimented with beat warping and destruction. The idea was to give the song some personality and a bit of life instead of being repetitive.

Electronica song with a slow steady build-up and a big finish. Steady beat and distorted synthesizers zipping and buzzing around while background noises fill the empty space.

The style is a mix between Electronica, Ambient and Industrial Electronic. The overall feel is dark and moody. Sometimes that is accomplished with soft sounds while other times emphasized with loud synthesizers, heavy beats and distortion. Structured songs, different parts, subtle variations, transitions, build-ups, progressions and sound effects are all concepts used to avoid excessive repetition.
