For our latest mix, we have called on the Acid House Veteran, Techno Survivor, Beard Scientist and Freelance Disco Consultant, Sean Johnston (https://soundcloud.com/hardwaybros), to end the year on a high.

Sean’s DJ’ing style described by https://soundcloud.com/factmag as “Future Disco” is hard to pin down to one convenient genre, taking in house, disco, re-edits, techno and frankly anything else that takes his fancy.

Alongside https://soundcloud.com/andrew-weatherall he runs and DJ’s at A Love From Outer Space. The night’s manifesto is to never knowingly exceed 122bpm and is home to a multitude of genres including ambient, balearica, dub, krautrock, post punk, proto house, un-disco and other curiosities from the pair’s extensive record collections.

“Here’s a classic form that has been abused, lived in, faded, worn thin, patched up and yet is totally unique. It’s my take on disco, but the description could equally apply to a great pair of jeans….”

The quality of our guest mix series remains unbroken with the 3rd session coming courtesy of Andrew Weatherall who has had numerous appearances at our No Strings Attached club nights since the early years.  He always amazes us with the way he manages to capture the full attention of the club during his sets, pushing and challenging the crowd with his avant-garde performances. On New Year's Eve 2010 Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnson performed a DJ set as A Love From Outer Space at Cable, London, headlining the event with Plaid. The first 200 attendees to the night were given a commemorative mix CD and I still have it. So please enjoy this previously unavailable mix by A Love From Outer Space. RIP Andrew.
