Sam In Space is a DJ and Producer from Melbourne, Australia, whose sound is shaped by a exploration between spaces; drawing from the grit of post-punk, the energy of disco, the euphoria of 90s house, and the raw edge of live instrumentation, his music thrives in the spaces where his influences overlap, shaping productions and DJ sets that are vibrant, energetic and immersive. 

Having honed his skills through an exposure to DJ’ing in his younger years, he continues to evolve his sound and production style whilst building a body of original work that is fresh, distinctive, and ready to propel him further into the wider electronic scene.

Counterterraism September 2025

Hailing from Grenoble (France)  now installed in Timisoara (Romania), active on various musical scenes those last four decades, TheTallMan started djing as a dilettante (and still is) in the early 90’s, delivering fierce sets blending New Beat, EBM and Electro-Industrial. After a long hiatus went back behind the desks in the mid-2010’s offering his own interpretation of Indie Dance, mixbags of Dark Disco and Darksynth layered with cinematic (he’s a sucker for horror movies’ soundtracks) and psychedelic overtones, and a punkish approach to the mix: flaws are tolerated, abrupt transitions are more than welcome and perfection is nothing but an F-word.

Feed Your Head Guest Mix: The TallMan

The first track I composed, and one I hold especially dear because of its meaning to me, because of the story it tells second by second, a story of personal growth with the implicit message that we should never give up, no matter how many difficult times or problems we encounter on this path we call "life," because the only way to be completely defeated is if we don't get up after a fall. We can lose a thousand battles, but if we always get up after each defeat, it's impossible for us to lose this war. The demo of the track was first released in 2016, without any editing or mastering. I was still at most 50% of the learning required and estimated to be as close to being a professional producer as possible. This time, the track has been mastered and enhanced, so the sound is much more balanced and clear. Even so, I hope to improve it much further in terms of the quality of the mastering and final editing, and of course, being aware of everything I still have to improve in all aspects. I still hope you like it... and as I always say...
