South London born, Jamie D’abbenigno showcases his undeniable talent under the alias Jay Nino.

A true understanding of musical history has influenced his unique sound heavily, as Jay continues to push the boundaries of what can be achieved within House Music and it’s derivatives.

Born out of the hotbed of belt driven turntables, Jay spent much of his youth listening to Hip Hop, Garage and Drum & Bass with elements from each sound now forming a subtle nuance in style, in both his production and live sets.
Sophisticated Latin drums, subtle Hip-Hop vocal samples, big and rolling basslines and memory-making drops all feature heavily as dance floors ignite when he graces the stage.

Every DJ recollects a specific moment in time that acted as the catalyst to give them their breakthrough moment. Jay’s moment undoubtedly came to the fore in 2018 whilst taking over the controls from Skream at Akvarium, Budapest - a truly defining point in time.

Since this breakthrough, Jay Nino has frequented line-ups the length and breadth of the UK and further afield as his stock continues to rise. Notably, Amsterdam (Melkweg), Calypso (Croatia), Cantieri B (Italy) and the stunning backdrops in the UK’s capital city of EGG London, Studio 338 and the world famous, Ministry Of Sound.

Nino’s consistently forward moving journey is yet more evident as a number of high-calibre residencies roll in, which have enabled him to ply his trade in a full-time, professional capacity.

Already a resident on London’s famous Select Radio he has amassed a large number of dates on the overseas circuit including Italy, Budapest, Marbella and Amsterdam as his stature continues to grow as one of the rising stars on the scene.

2019 is all set to be one of further progress. A number of his own productions are set for release throughout the year and high-profile bookings gather at pace.

Born 20 July 1991. Oscar Mackenzie is a British Producer & DJ from the North West, UK. He has tracks out on various labels such as Koda Recordings, Beat Nasty Records & Debuger. Recent gigs as of 2019, Spring Break Amsterdam, Budafest and Version 2 (Edinburgh). Played alongside Sam Divine, Jay Lumen and Eats Everything to name a few. He has a 3 Track EP coming out late 2019 with a number of confirmed gigs for 2020 already booked in.

Welcome back everyone for what is sure to be the benchmark for the season, as we welcome one of our very own Carlo Alessio, He joined us out in Amsterdam for Spring break and came with us for Budafest to perform at the infamous Sparty.

Carlo has always been majorly musically influenced by deep house and garage, and so this is
implemented throughout his minimal sound, bringing something rather unique to the table.

This can vary from raw, skippy drum patterns to stabby synth harmonies, harmonising perfectly with his deep, groovy underground basslines. These vibes, paired with the atmosphere produced by the crowd at his sets make him one to definitely keep an eye on.

With his track 'Just Stay' being released on BNN records.

What is Silk? 
We are a brand, whose sole focus is to give our fans the true underground experience.

What is an underground experience?
It's going to a club and just letting go. Avoiding the trappings of the social norms and mainstream sounds. Creating a intimate space where you can really feel the bass hit your chest and make you move your feet. It's a place of no judgement. A night where you can just forget who you are and feel the deep vibrations pulse through your body sending you in to a state of euphoria.

How will you achieve this?
Hosting events that are bespoke and tailored to individual needs, therefore  you never have the same experience twice.
 
By giving up and coming artists a music platform for them to share their music. We go through a vigorous scouting progress to specifically select each and every DJ that features on our weekly episodes, the Feel Of Silk.

We also sell our clothing and accessories in our online shop. So that where ever you are, you'll be a part of the Silk family.

Why did you start Silk?
The idea came to me when I was out in central London en route to arguably one of the most famous night clubs in the world. Fabric nightclub in Farringdon. Known for its legendary DJ Sets. But the only downfall was when I got back home I'd realised I had spent a fortune. So this got me thinking, what if i could offer the same underground experience without having to spend top club money.

Where do you want Silk to go?
Our aim is to make Silk the biggest music platform for up and coming artists who's focus is the underground sound, as well as putting on events all over the world in places such as  Amsterdam, Marbella, Berlin, New York and Bangkok. Bringing people the true sounds of the underground whilst be able to provide an experience like no other.
