Reject is a relentless minimal groover, driven by classic 808 drums and an unforgettable synth line.

Mexico meets Augsburg! @feinestier veterans @theusmago and @dominikmarz join forces for the „Timewarp“ EP. And to everybody whose stream of consciousness associates this title to terms like „Feierei“ and „Gude Laune“: Well, you’re not wrong. The message is brought to you through on-point less-is-more drum programming, distorted toms, crystalline synths, chirping 303s and spliced-up vocals. So basically everything you’d ever need for a proper feierei. Mr Smallville Paris aka @jacquesbon and his pal @druxdrux (nomen est omen?) serve their exquisite tastebuds to cook up a bittersweet remix of the tune, which makes for a deep(!) dish with its trippy percussion layers and nebulous pads. Maybe don’t drive a car after consuming this one. The gude vibes continue with „Fredonien“ which is served in two variations: Firstly the „Vox Mix“ which is going all in on honoring its title and is as sweet as candy, with the synth chords adding that dip of melancholy we’re craving from all the best deep house tunes. The regular version is a more streamlined affair, but don’t be fooled: The amount it’s lacking in heart wrenching vocals is more than made up by melodramatic Mellotron-y synths dropping by from time to time to say hello and raise the stakes. All we’ve got left to say after all these timewarps, drux and vox is: More of this collab, please!

Even though they’re all quite unique on their own, what unites the tracks is the combination of raw beats and vocals with an oddly catchy pop approach to the writing of the music. Be it in the aptly titled „After of Disaster“ with its let-loose energy, the slow-rolling „Lo Titfos Oti“, which could have been picked from an Andrew Weatherall (RIP) dj-set, or the title track with its break-beats and its unforeseeable left-turns, there’s always this playful and off-the-wall energy keeping the ball going and bouncing. And let’s not forget about the remix! Endlessly rising duo Simple Symmetry do what they have become known for very well here: Deliver an insanely groovy and relentless weapon of a track, guaranteed to blow the roof of every club, festival floor or after, however disastrous it might be. What a dream combo! Irish powerhouse and Maeve runner @thedriftersound joins forces with the Israeli super talent of Frau Blau fame, @kadoshofficial. The result is JAKARTA, an elegant yet relentlessly effective and forceful tune built to elevate dance floors small and big(!) around the globe. It is one of those productions where all the elements fall into their suitable places so naturally that it’s made looking easy, which one might call an attribute of true craftsmanship. The delicate mesh of synth stabs and chords, the sporadic vocal insertions, the efficient beat programming, everything is arranged to build a sum greater than its parts. We’re given two different variants of the track, the „Day“ and „Night“ version, which gives a clue about their respective qualities and intended use. But to be quite honest, we could also imagine the „Night“ version on a sunlit festival floor or the „Day“ version in a dark and sweaty warehouse. There have been dark days and bright nights after all, stranger things have happened. Whichever you end up choosing in any given moment, you most likely won’t be wrong.

We’re happy to cordially invite you to the Regression Session, hosted by eternal Philadelphia scene flag bearers @zillasonacid ! And if you think this sounds awfully lot like a scam, you’re probably right: „Regression Session“ is just a front of their illegal black market operation, trading raw uncut gems on a large scale. Just listen to the opener and title track and you won’t exactly have a strong case for the Zillas selling out, but rough as it is, this thing is capable of destroying any dancefloor it touches. Looking at their recent releases it’s fair to say the Z’s are on quite a run, putting out music on labels like Permanent Vacation, Throne Of Blood, Multi Culti or Ivan Smagghe’s Disques de la Mort. Tunes like the sneaky rough slow burners „Underling“ or „Start Digging“ sound like they could be lifted from the latter’s infamous DJ sets, while the deceptively titled „Cha Cha Cha“ or closer „Casual Observer“ justify the „Acid“ in the artist name. „Shining Snakes Across The Lake“ is what some years might have been called a mid-tempo house roller and probably counts as downtempo these days. Speaking of tempos, the penultimate „Sweet Days Of Discipline“ starts of masquerading as reaaally downtempo, but ends up throwing 155bpm kick drums at you, so better watch out, all you k-hole ravers! Let’s not forget to talk about „bquiet“, which is what you’d call mid-tempo house these days (125bpm) and uses the eternally banging combination of a jacking beat, a polyrhythmic bass line, some lead-synth stabs and talking vocal slices. You can practically smell the sweat. So what’s left to say? What you see is what you get: They are Zillas, and they are on Acid. And they provide a collection of eight tunes that probably each don’t necessarily have a double-digit amount of tracks in their DAW projects, and that’s exactly what makes them so forceful. Peru is a stomping up tempo piece of sweeping music that blows you off your dirty dancing feet. The second title Natur slows us down a bit and makes us dream of long and warm summer days. It contains a heartwarming vocal sung by his grandma and combines classical South American sounds with a catchy tune.

On the flip side you'll find hip shaking remixes by Dutch live animal SATORI and a lovely couple from northern Germany called JUST EMMA.

Berlin-Cologne based duo Atlantik is well known for incredible ravish live sets. People go ballistic! Clemens  and Georg played their set more than three years ago on one of the Feines Tier parties and everybody instantly felt in love with it. 
Atlantik has got a residency at the world famous Sisyphos Berlin where they set up their impressing analog machine park on a regular basis.
