Brian Zajak, alias Fejká, began his musical career at the age of 17. Torn between the dreamy, soft atmosphere of ambient music and the hard, punchy vibe of techno, Fejká couldn't decide which direction his music production should take. “Day/night, dream/dance, slow/fast - music was always split into two worlds for me” he says. So he decided to experiment with both.

With his sunrise set at this year's Fusion, he took our hearts by storm and we are happy to present his unique style on our channel.

Burning Man, Maxa, you are magic! This year marked my third time playing at the majestic Maxa deer, and every moment felt like a dream. This was a very special set for me, I opened with an excerpt of a piano piece composed by my mom, a deeply meaningful and personal tribute. It was also the debut of tracks from my upcoming album, including the closing song, “Sailing to the Moon,” a track that evokes the essence of the personal journeys we all embark on.

Throughout my musical journey, I’ve often reflected on my sonic identity. In this ongoing quest to define what Le Président sounds like, I truly feel like this set  embodies and represents my sound as it stands today.

This year, I also had the privilege of playing alongside underneath above the Maxa deer during Temple Burn, accompanying the incredible performances of Unders, Zohar, and Jac Hoja,  an unforgettable moment of profound connection.

Thank you for being part of this journey, and for allowing me to share these moments with you under the beautiful desert sky. 🌌✨

A heartfelt thanks to Neto, Marty, and the entire Maxa family for having me and making this experience unforgettable.

A deep gratitude overcame me when I realized what the dance floor had been evolving to during the set and a profund tribal feeling overcame me when I saw what is possible to create when people work together with a similar vision of creativity and love. The Spirit Train and Hauptbahnhof Crew are the people that brought me to AfrikaBurn for the first time last year, thank you millions of times for giving me that honor to perform again for you guys and the brilliant idea of connecting both sound systems together. The past 18 months (since the last time I posted my Fusion recording) have been truly memorable for me, with many unforgettable experiences all over the world, new places, new friends and above all some amazing support along the way. I am grateful to have this opportunity to travel around the world to stages where I can expose my music. 

One of the key moments came back on April 1st when I closed DGTL Amsterdam’s Frequency Stage. I was exhilarated throughout, and I felt that I achieved a very strong connection with the people that were there that day. So much, so that I decided to go back to my studio to record the set again, so that I could share it with everyone once more here. Thank you to everyone that let this set come alive. Mezcal Amores was so much more than just a gig for @caleesi and me. It was a really special experience that took place in beautiful Oaxaca, Mexico in the ruins of an old building, amongst candles and flower blossoms and amazing people who really understood our music. We couldn’t have asked for a better atmosphere and are so lucky to have been able to play our sound in such a perfect environment. Thank you so much to Deborah, Marie-Lison, Marty, Carla, Mira and Santiago for everything. We’re so grateful to have been part of this unique experience!
