I Used to Love Her, featuring Mario Evon ;the second single, from Fela Smith's EP album Introvasion The Mixtape. I Used to Love Her is an entire metaphor,  that shows off Fela Smith's creative and authentic side as a multi-faceted artist. The EP, which also features Fela Smith's first single Fantasy will be dropped later this year on SMG Reckords, a Canadian based record label.

Living in different cities of the world exposed Fela Smith to diverse musical pieces & cultures - And is able to express his experiences through his lyrics. A creative artist who paints and draws, F.Smith sees the beat as his canvas on which he paints vivid pictures to the listener from his SOUL. "..music is an expression of the soul, when i listen to or create musical pieces i make sure it resonates with my soul…"

As a young child at the age of 3,he would recreate beats that he heard on TV or off the radio with his unique beat boxing style. In middle school,his peers & friends would gather around him to listen to him beat box because he sounded like his sounds were coming out a BOSE STEREO SPEAKER. This unique ability was his first call into the hip-hop culture. Around the age of 9,he started writing poetry & short stories in note books;it wasn't until he heard "COMMON'S I USED TO LOVE HER" on a 90's mix in his dad's car in 2001, that he felt those butterflies in him,he had it on repeat for days and one day while in class wrote his own version of the song behind his school book; adding some of his own lines and paraphrasing some of Common's. That day marked the BIRTH OF A PASSIONATE RELATIONSHIP that was never going to fade... 


He has performed across the east coast and overseas in a couple of cities like Dakar,Lagos & London. Fela Smith has worked internationally recognized NewYork City Based Producer/Artist, Duncan Daniels, and has also worked with other producers & up and coming artists such as, Jeremel, Laquandra Seymore and London Based Producer,Chase. Fela Smith was selected to be part of several talented artists who perform with a live band in front of a diverse audience. He has also gotten approval from hip-hop pioneer, QUEST LOVE of the legendary hip hop group, 'THE ROOTS" as a great rapper. He follows his dreams by his motto: “In my world,the skies are just the beginning."
