It is part of a new adventure to complete my website www.yochananrywerant.com  with teaching. In Classical Feldenkrais, theory and practice are integrated. My lessons include meta-comments, and I publish theory to prepare for and reflect on lessons. The starting point for all teaching is the book for amateurs, "Improving the Ability," a theory that can be put into practice. In English, the translation is "Awareness Through Movement."
The focus is on action, not movement, even though movement is the tool to unlock the wonders of the human brain and its readiness for learning (neuroplasticity).

●      acknowledge that learning and life are not the same thing.
●      look for a pleasurable experience.
●      practice slowly 
●      complete easy simple actions.
●      reduce effort. It is easier to feel differences when the effort is small.
●      switch between details and the whole and relate to the room around you.
●      don't try to do the exploration well, nice and right.
●      don't say at the beginning what the final goal will be.
●      do a little less than you are capable of.
●      don’t force yourself to be efficient.

Take the breaks you need – since it is a recorded lesson, you can always pause the playback whenever you feel it is appropriate for you.
