22 year old, classically trained pianist, dj and austrian producer talent, Philipp Pettauer aka Franz Ganz, who has already released his music on labels like Birdkids (2014, AT), All Over It Records (2013) and Killax Recordings (UK, 2012), sent me some demo tracks about a year ago. As I was blown away by the deepness of his productions at a relatively young age, i wrote him back that we definitly have to make a release on sama recordings in the near future. Good things take a while, but the result is only satisfying! With 6 compelling tracks that oscillate between classic house/techno and the leftfield corners of experimental music, Franz Ganz shows off his versatile production skills and his shere endless interest in different movements in today’s underground dance music. Transcendental athmospheres combined with beautifully arranged rhythmic patterns lay down the basic for his signature sound. All 6 tracks were mastered with extreme care – in order to keep the beautiful dynamic sound structures of the original material as alive and kicking as possible - by Alexandr Vatagin at Audiomanufaktur Vienna.
