We spoke to Smallpeople, the dynamic production duo behind Smallville Records and record store based in Hamburg, Germany. Dionne aka Just von Ahlefeld and Julius Steinhoff established the store in 2005 with the help of fellow musician and friend Peter Kersten aka Lawrence, and have since developed their own brand of deep house, drawing form their admiration for subtle, evolving melodies. Having released records from Christopher Rau, Move D, Moomin, STL, Lawrence, Steven Tang and Benjamin Brunn, Smallville Records have attracted a loyal following of heads, turning, what started as and still is a neighbourhood hangout into one of house music’s most prominent imprints. In the interview we discover more about their beginnings into producing music, running the store and their plans for 2014.

Following the revival last year of "The Basic Collective EP" Sascha continues the series with a really special guest "Aquarius Heaven".
 
The “A” side is a tribute the legendary Kerri Chandler and labels such as King Street, Shelter and Madhouse.  It includes a full vocal House Track as well as an instrumental version of the same.
 
On the “B” side Sascha goes back to his deeper Detroit roots.  Pure “Old-school” House Music.

FFor the 139th episode of the Nightclubber Podcast series, we invited Jay Bliss to put together a mix for us. Iulian has been a lifetime music lover, fully dedicated to everything that builds up his sonic universe.
With a DJ career that spans over a decade and a half, he has developed his own style, spreading positive vibes to his listeners. His acoustic signature is easy to be recognized in his productions as well, either if it's Jay Bliss or his newer moniker, Iovan Iorgovan. Watch out next year, as he has a few releases scheduled with labels like Autoreply or Anakronik.
Beside all of these, he's managing a couple of imprints, having his first album published this autumn on Stomping Grounds. The younger brother, Vade Mecum, is going in a slightly different direction, having signed artists like Noha or the colaboration between Melodie and Teluric - Glueped.
