Turning into the home stretch, Figure hands the penultimate release of its SPC-series to an anonymous yet auspicious talent.On his first output under the UBX127 guise, the producer reveals his wares, combining classic bleep techno with just the right dose of acid.
The four driving tracks thrive on their distinct synth-modulations, each scurrying atop a firm groundwork of brooding basses. Apparent analogue sequencing pervades the whole EP, infusing it with a feeling of constant motion and liveliness.
While SPC Y as a whole comes clearly primed for the floor, UBX127 is keen to develop on the theme. Be it on the stridently discordant but sizzling Flares or the swirling Sprites with its flickering and twinkling atmospheric chaff. The attention to fine sonic detail also extends to the record’s flipside, providing for two more compositions of fleet-footed synth arpeggios and culminates in the epic space voyage of Grids II.
Crafty, refined and irresistibly moving, this record is sure to be stirring up dancers around the globe.

"This is my new mix. I found some tracks without hi-hats that I love to play out and put them all together. I did some tracks for it as well, I play them too sometimes. The first layer is something that I recorded at home, while the second layer contains several drone tracks I did at the studio on top of the mix to glue everything together and make it more like a short story.

It´s a great reminder to this phenomenal party. I really enjoyed playing there. So good that this set was recorded.
There´s only one mishap in it. It´s caused to the crazy dancers inside my booth. One of them was touching inadvertently the display of one CDJ while it was in a loop.  Can you spot it?

Dekmantel proudly presents the debut album of NYC mogul Anthony Parasole. A regular feature on quality line-ups and playlists alike, Parasole's music perfectly fits the bill for cutting-edge electronic music. Infrared Vision is a display of his love for polyrhythmic drum patterns, post-club sketches, twisted dance floor gems and classy, big room-ready tunes.

‘‘When I started to conceptualize my album I had a few end goals’’, explains Parasole. ‘‘I wanted to string my own style through Infrared Vision, so it would be familiar to the people who like my music. In tandem, I strived to produce a fresh voice sonically and experimented with a few new production techniques. I also grabbed ideas outside of techno and house, because I didn't want to be influenced by anything new. I was listening to a lot of jazz, hip-hop, Nine Inch Nails and Prince for example.’’ 

Parasole took his time to write, produce and record Infrared Vision, dividing the process into three steps. ‘‘First I wrote the album in words, pinning down ideas and track concepts on a notepad. Subsequently I transferred my ideas to my gear. Due to a heavy tour schedule I sometimes brought gear with me on the road, to continue my sketch process on the hardware. I then recorded it at home and at Phil Moffa’s studio in New York. When the music was fully finished the album morphed to its final version. Phil Moffa laid down the final mixdown at Butcha Sound Studios, while Marco Spaventi handled the mastering.’’
