Our hometown heroes are faves of Harvey and Weatherall alike, with releases for labels like Rong Music & Permanent Vacation, including their massive hit covering Hot Chocolate’s “Don’t Turn It Off”! Well-known for having a sporadic release schedule, our Thieves landed at Leng Records for the past decade or so and we can expect some new music from the boys coming soon!

For this mix they’ve pulled out all the stops for a tour-de-force of all the delectable things that makes a Thief a Thief - stripped-down Paradise Garage-brand disco and boogie jams, secret Italo groovers, chuggy slo-mo bangers and more, viewed through the hazy lens of Dub - always a smokers’ delight! Considered a bon vivant, a football pundit, and a musical polymath, our second selector hardly needs an introduction. When it comes to the world of music journalism, DJing, music history and taste, Bill Brewster is our guy! A massive record collector from age 10, Bill’s initial passion for the Punk Rock movement eventually got him into the world of dance music, which he had a go for and turned into a living, documenting it through his writing and eclectic DJ sets. 

Brewster's deep understanding of music and DJ culture led him, along with his all-time best buddy Frank Broughton, to publish ‘Last Night a DJ Saved My Life’. Regarded as an essential work on the subject, the book explores the origins of the DJ, from radio to the dance floor, providing a comprehensive exploration of memorable moments and the impact of the disc jockey.

A devotee of good gatherings, Bill has played everywhere—from his own mythical Low Life parties, encompassing two decades of friendships and memories, to Boiler Room sets and many magical Houghton Festivals. Always with a hip-loosening attitude toward the crowds, he masterfully crafts genre-fusing sessions from his vast collection of rarities, spanning intimate disco funk to obscure house.

For this occasion, he put together a mix full of jams dug from the Revibed vault that will take you for spin across decades and sensations. We were able to catch up with him to see how life is going, hear from his recent projects and insightful opinions about all things music.

Felix has been part of the UK's underground dance scene for the last 3 decades, learning his trade DJing at free parties and illegal raves and co-founding his first record label Ugly Music in the 90's.

He's produced records for well renowned record labels worldwide including DFA, Rush Hour, Eskimo, Golf Channel, Claremont 56, Futureboogie and his own label Cynic.

He has secured slots at well known clubs and festivals across the globe, and the last few years have seen him receive a lot more attention due to his high profile residencies for Block 9 (Glastonbury) and Croatia’s Love International as well as regular appearances at Houghton, Gottwood and Thailand’s Wonderfruit festival.
