At the concert the duo, consisting of Danish Morten Schantz (synth + vocals) and Swedish-Norwegian Anton Eger (drums), were performing parts of their debut album ‘Into RKDIA’ released back in September 2021.

RKDIA (pron. Arcadia) means utopia. Through the album, you’ll get an invitation into the now manifested utopian land of Cockaigne – a land where everything is possible.

The collaborative art-pop project Voice Of Art was founded by the Danes Kenneth Bager, Troels Hammer, OliO and DJ DIVO. Inspired by the eighties sampling methods, Voice Of Art produced the loungy 'Aladdin's Lawn Mover' which is the first single of the project's second album.

Akuphone presents to its loyal subscribers an exclusive digital reissue of the only known 45 rpm of the multi-faceted singer Chum Kem. Recorded in March 1962, these four pieces are of an incredible originality. Indeed, its author and interpreter of Cambodian origin but who "thinks in Chinese" according to the notes appearing on the original sleeve also expresses in Italian. Close to King Norodom Shihanouk, himself a singer who has released a few albums, he has his entrances to the Royal Palace where his songs are very popular. A surprising example of hybridization proper to the so-called exotica of the mid-20th century.

Akuphone présente à ses fidèles abonné.e.s une réédition digitale exclusive de l’unique 45 tours connu du chanteur aux multiples facettes Chum Kem. Enregistrés en mars 1962, ces quatre œuvres sont d’une incroyable originalité. En effet, son auteur et interprète d’origine cambodgienne mais qui « pense en chinois » suivant les notes figurant sur la pochette d’origine s’exprime aussi en italien. Music For Dreams are proud to announce that a new album is underway from the electronic pop-ensemble Hess Is More. The first track from the project, titled

Led by Danish drummer and composer Mikkel Hess, the ensemble has released 12 albums since 2003, donning a shifting constellation of musicians from both sides of the Atlantic. Hess Is More’s material combines styles of electronic music, jazz, krautrock and afrobeat in a pop-oriented, melodically rich sound.

The act is also known for its work across mediums, collaborating with visual artists, designers and filmmakers, recently producing the highly acclaimed series of dramatized concerts slash art installations known as Apollonian Circles.

The forthcoming album, titled CÆKE, bridges back to Hess Is More’s early albums, with the act scaled back down to a solo operation of Mikkel Hess writing, producing and performing most of the music himself. The result is a more minimalistic and personal sound than the sprawling material of later ensemble-projects.

The first single, titled ‘You And Me And Them’, is a gentle, spacious pop composition built around piano, drum machine and vocals, all performed by Mikkel Hess. A pristine and wistful mood that blooms and deepens through soft, twirling melodics.

The song was written by Mikkel Hess his wife Nira Kehar in their countryside home. The serene mood of the track reflects this setting, capturing the intimacy of time spent by the piano. In Mikkel’s own words, “the song is a close-up view of life as it unfolds twenty years after the first album came out, and a reaching out to those who might be listening from the beyond.”

The album is scheduled for release in late 2024 on Music For Dreams.
