‘Set It Off’ is an archetypal demonstration of the trio’s flair for creating depth within a production. Inspired by Strafe’s 1984 electro funk classic on the same name and spanning everything from retro-synths to techy elements the track is a true illustration of their wide musical compass, with an organic sounding guitar reflecting their early roots in punk music. Never ones to rest on their laurels, this cut is a further string to their evermore impressive bow, coming as it does at the tail end of Tuber & Berger’s most triumphant year to date with a momentum they will unquestionably carry on into the next.

The mesmerising Âme remix has been gliding its way round sound systems across the globe since the start of the year and it's no surprise as to why. Ezikiel moved his first steps on Negril’s Beach, Jamaica, and was raised by positive sounds of reggae and dub. Thanks to his mother’s African roots and his father’s large musical culture he developed a deep passion for music.

At the age of 14 he bought his first turntables and mixer and started mixing DnB, reggae and jungle. But in 1998, after hearing for the first time artist like Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin he straight felt in love with their groovy rhythms and started Deejaying minimal techno.

After being active in his hometown’s illegal techno parties, he realized that it was time to move forward and it came that in 2006 he moved to Zürich, the swiss electronic music capital.

In a pretty short time he gained reputation in Zurich’s techno scene, he already played in the best Swiss clubs, but also for international acts and promoters such as Hive Club, DekaDance, M4Music Festival, Vision Festival, Street Parade etc. He also supports UNITED ROOTS & CULTURE, a Foundation, which has projects in Africa to help people whom necessitate it.

Ezikiel will bring his own music to the public in May with his first release on Cadenza Music.

Ezikiel thinks music is the best way to bring people together and feel good.

My first big record on a well known and influential label. I gave the music to @Josh Wink and it took him one year to release it, which was pretty normal back in the day. 

“Menina Brasileira” came after I watched a wack movie with Penelope Cruz, ate something wrong and had a bad night’s sleep. The next day I went to the studio with the idea to produce a deep house track. Not a cliché deep house track, but to capture a deep house vibe in a non-deep house track. 

Just listen to the vocal on the flip, “Jacuzzi Games,” and you can imagine the scenario.
