Brand new on Toolroom Records is ‘Souk’ by Jay C & Felix Baumgartner… a seriously epic slice of thumping house that will be destroying even the most demanding Ibiza dance-floors this summer.

Both Jay C and Felix Baumgartner are regulars on the DJing circuit and with countless appearances at top clubs such as Space Ibiza, Ministry of Sound and Pacha under their belts, these guys couldn’t be more qualified in the art of whipping the dance-floor up into a mass frenzy. Their productions continue to be highly sought after by the world’s top DJ’s and with this stunning release you can see why!

‘Souk’ is a serious peak-time slammer. Booming beats and pugnacious percussion steam roll their way alongside some battle hardy drums. The breakdown unleashes a monster guitar riff, locking you into a solstice of middle-eastern sounds before dropping into some rapturous grooves destined to tear the club apart. 

The blissfully chilled out remix comes courtesy of Vertigo. Heavenly pads and mellifluous chords accompany that euphonious guitar and some gorgeous pianos perfectly suited to a sunset or a sunrise on the white beaches of the Balearic isles.

A quality release from these guys that will be rocking most Ibiza terraces this summer!

An unreleased track of mine, with that classic Nina Simon sample.  I know it's been used a fair few times, but it still sounds awesome, and this always takes the roof off whenever I play it.

Felix Baumgartner - Flying High

Felix Baumgartner began his career in dance music as a DJ in London, developing his production skills as he went along.  Over the last 3 or 4 years, Felix has been the DJ and producer behind some of the biggest house tracks in clubland.  His breakthrough smash "Now You're Gone" was one of the biggest house tracks of 2009, and since then he has continued to have hit after hit on labels such as Defected, Subliminal, Toolroom, 303 Lovers, and Destined Records; working with some of the biggest dance artists in the world including Lutzenkirchen, Stafford Brothers, Juan Kidd, and Mark Knight has meant that Felix has consistently been at the top of the Beatport charts.

Starting his own label, Refrakt, Felix released the tech-house monster "The Tunnel", and is looking to push the label profile throughout 2011.  A new partnership with one of the biggest house labels in the world is on the cards for next year, and Felix has  loads of tracks ready to take on the biggest dance floors in the world.
Having put in so much studio time over the last few years, Felix is now looking to get back to his first love, DJing.  Headlining some of the biggest nights in the UK during 2010 has given him the momentum to continue through to 2011 and make this his biggest year to date.
