I wrote this song with Yeah Boy at his parents house, in Adelaide, while I was touring Australia 2 years ago. I'm very excited to release it today, after spending months perfecting every little sound / melody! 

This song is out on my label BLUME, which means all of the proceeds from streams & sales will go to charity. Last year we raised $200,000 for Pencils of Promise, and 7 new schools will be built in South America from that fundraising by September 2017. Our next goal is to raise $30,000 for the ACLU, and this song will help contribute to that goal :) Once we've raised that, I wanna let you guys decide what charity we give to next! "Lifetime is about a father and a daughter, which is something Martijn can relate to a lot, as he has two daughters himself. Because of the lyrics and vocals, we turned the music into something that has a bit more space than your average Zonderling track, both in tempo and sound. This was one of those tracks that didn't take very long to write before everyone involved was happy. We even went back in to try some other directions because it all came together so easily that it felt like cheating, but didn't find anything to improve what was already there, so we accepted that it was just right exactly as it is, pure and simple."
